LOST S05E08 "LaFleur" Review
57Let me start out by saying that LOST is one of the greatest television masterpieces that I have ever seen. I don’t really consider it a show. It’s more like a piece of live art. They’re has never been nor ever will be another show quiet like it.
Now, the main reason you’re here to begin with. The review of last week’s episode 8 of season 5 “LaFleur”.
I found it very interesting that sawyer chose the name “LaFleur” which means “Flower”. The last person on the island that reminds me of a flower on the island is Sawyer. I really did enjoy the sawyer episode. He is by far my favorite character on the show and he really shined in this episode.
I was relieved to see that sawyer wound up with Juliet at the end of the episode even though I’m sure that he still has feelings for Kate. I don’t like the hold that Kate has over Sawyer and Jack usually pitting them against each other whether she means to or not.
I also liked the fact that Jin has really come into his character and feeled out as opposed to his earlier parts in the series. He has now learned English and really interacts both with the other survivors and with the show in general.
I get this feeling like the survivors were put on this island to help stop the mass murder of the dharma initiative workers and to lead the attack against Ben and his others. That’s just what I read out of the episode but you know how these “Lost” writers are. That could change in an instant.
I have heard a rumor that one of the show’s regular castaways will be dying before the end of season 5. I’m not sure who it is but I heard that the other actor’s apparently read it in the script before this person even knew it. It would suck to be part of a great show like lost and to find out that your character is coming to an end.

I was a huge fan of the wire as well. I wouldn't really compare the two shows due to the huge differences between them but I do agree that "The Wire" was a great show as well. I wish it was still on.
The Wire had the advantage of not being on network TV. I like Lost, although I must admit they have lost me a bit this year. I will probably go back and watch the whole season over a weekend this summer.
Good summary though!
