In early March 2007 strong easterly winds piled ice from Lake St. Clair 20 feet high along Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms. Here are some pictures of the ice floes and chunks piled up along the shore to create a an unusual scene as might be found on Hudson Bay or farther north.
