This article “Laptop Data Recovery- Fixing Your Laptop and Computer Problems” is a step by step brief guide on causes of system failure and how you can prevent data from being lost from your laptops and laptop computer systems. Emphasis is also placed on how you can recover any lost data from your laptops. Pls, note, you may still need to contact your software or hardware engineer.

Now, let’s troubleshoot and discuss the various factors that warrant you loosing your laptop data or data from your laptop computer system.

1) Presence and influx of Viruses

2) Light Fluctuation/Improper shut down of the laptop

3) System crash

4) Failure of the hard drive.

Presence and influx of Viruses

A laptop or laptop computer system that’s suffering from virus infiltration and activities is prone to data loss. Dangerous malicious codes, hacking codes, spyware, Trojan and worms can make the laptop to crash.

Solution:   Use powerful antivirus software and make sure you update the antivirus software on a regular basis. I suggest you try Kaspersky antivirus.

Improper shut down of the Laptop/Laptop Computer system

This is one of the major reasons why a laptop or laptop computer system is prone to data loss. Always shut down the laptop properly. Even, with the system scan disk utility on most systems, people are fond of skipping this step. This is very, very important.  The scan disk option comes up when you do not shut down the computer system properly. So Windows created a utility that will help in system defragmentation and restoration of the clusters and sectors with the help of scan disk. So, don’t skip this step, always allow it to run.

Failure of the hard disk

Laptop or laptop computer system data loss is basically due to a faulty or malfunctioning hard disk. The hard disk is the storage headquarters for all the laptop data. It is the most powerful memory storage bank, and it works significantly for the booting operation of the laptop. This aspect supercedes the earlier two points because all of them still points towards here.

Now, a hard disk contains sectors, clusters and a particular magnetic disk-tape. Presence of dust on the magnetic head/tape can lead to system failure/crash, which ultimately leads to data loss. Fluctuating lightning system/improper shut down of the laptop affects the magnetic head, which may affect the spinning of the magnetic head. This also lead to complete/impartial data loss. So, taking absolute care of the hard disk will help prevent laptop data loss.

Now, the main question is how can I perform a laptop data recovery?

1) Always back up your files, folders and programs regularly

2) In the case of total crash of your system, this does not mean that you have lost the data- it simply means that the data which is in the hard disk is safe under a probability view. So, if the laptop is not coming up, it connotes that the hard disk has lost program that will enable it to boot and make the laptop light up. So, your data is safe, now how do u get the data out?

a) This is a self practical means----Get a working external hard drive casing (it has a mouth like a USB port).

b) Remove the hard disk from your failed laptop, and then connect the buss cable, from the hard disk to the external hard drive casing.

c) Then connect the USB end from the external hard drive casing to another laptop or any working computer system nearby.

d) Now, what will happen is that the other computer system /laptop that you have plugged in the USB from the external hard drive casing will see the failed hard disk as a flash disk.

e) Open it and then you can now copy out the contents.

That’s all………..I have shared a very difficult topic with you, apply this and you will save tens of thousands of money you could have otherwise pay to a so called laptop data recovery expert.
