58Your Costume For The Audition
Matt did a post about costumes. When I auditioned for the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld my first thought was jeans, white t-shirt and an apron. I then thought about the character's name and switched to army greens and a beret and ended up accidentally looking like Saddam. I think it worked. There are no rules and every audition is it's own entity. You must think from square one each time you get creative no matter how much technique you are stuffed with. The obvious might get you the job or the wildly original might do it. Always be creating. If it doesn't get you the work at the very least it'll be fun and leave you with a great story!
