Las Vegas is way cheaper than most any other major tourist destination. You don't really have to search for cheap motels, because you'll find plenty of good hotels priced way cheaper than what most motels charge. For example, the Stratosphere charges $29.95.

Also, with airfares set to drop due to the falling price of oil, you could easily wind up Las Vegas vacations in much less than $500. In theory. When you actually try to book a vacation package, they pile on the add-ons and stuff, and entice you with costlier hotels and by the time you get back home, you're in a hole for over $1000.

So here's a few package Air + Hotel package deals for Las Vegas, all for less than $250. Most include 2 or 3 nights stay plus airfare and a few other freebies. Photo by Studio Mohawk via flickr (creative commons).

Funjet has some more packages, such as Denver to Las Vegas at $229.
