Enjoy your Las Vegas break

Want some Las Vegas free show tickets, or maybe you would like a little information on where to stay in Las Vegas. I have lots of hints and tips on your Las Vegas break as I have been vacationing there for the past ten years, and have learned the hard way how to make the most from your money and your stay. I have written an Excalibur hotel review as it is one of my favourite hotels and I have listed some top tips on how to eat and play for free and basically a list of freebies and things to do in Las Vegas. Firstly I would like to say that I didn't do any of this on my first two trips, as I was travelling from the UK, and not used to getting all this Las Vegas free stuff. I was very naive!!!! So what I would like to do is stop others from making the same mistakes as myself, and make the best of Las Vegas and all the free stuff Las Vegas has to offer. Some of this you may know already, and some you may not, or maybe you think it's not worth it because you won't be playing at the tables very much. Well you are wrong, whether you play or not it makes no difference, as Las Vegas will allow you to pick up some great free stuff. There are lots of places to visit Las vegas style and some fantastic deals on hotels to be had.

Tips on travelling to Las Vegas

Before you make your booking for the Las Vegas hotel of your choice, stop and listen. The way the system works in Las Vegas is that you can sign up for rewards which I will explain later..So the first thing you need to know is which hotels are going to give you the best deals. I find the online sights have some real bargains. I would highly recommend Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, Paris, and Luxor. Apart from the Bellagio the rest our top class and very reasonably priced. They will also give the best comp rewards whilst you stay with them. Bellagio is fantastic, but a little more up market.

Direct flights can be had online by most brokers, and as far as I am aware Virgin Atlantic, and B.A are the only two airlines which fly direct from the UK. Taking a non direct flight can save you some money. Again your broker will be able to tell you of these cheap flight options. If you are celebrating a special occasion make sure the Las Vegas hotel is aware of this, and ask if there is a chance of a complimentary upgrade....They may not do this but also ask again when checking in, as a note of this may well be on your file...You don't get anything without asking ..

On arrival in Las Vegas

When you arrive at your hotel, and I would recommend if you do not gamble much, and are on a tight budget go with the lesser hotels on and off the Las Vegas strip. They will give you great rewards just to get you through their doors. Ask for the upgrade, and sign up for their reward card..You will find these in all the hotels and straight away you will begin to earn freebies. This may be in the form of Las Vegas free slot play, or a free buffet breakfast, or maybe show tickets. All the hotels offer different loyalty comps.

Now you may think to earn freebies you have to gamble all day long. Not true..You see you are rated on your turnover not the amount you have gambled, so if you start with $100 dollars and you play all day long, it will tot up your points and comps. Most Las Vegas hotels like you to gamble around 2-3 hours per day, but do not worry as you will still be entitled to free comps. Be cheeky and ask at the rewards desk for any complimentary Las Vegas free show tickets, or a free buffet. If you feel you have gambled and spent enough in the casino, ask or you may lose out, and they will not see this as a bad thing, because this is the way it works in Vegas.

Look out for the fantastic Las Vegas free shows. You can find these in most hotels, and touts along the strip will be giving them out. You can see comedy shows, and all sorts because again the casino wants you through their door weather you spend or not. I came back from my last Las Vegas trip adding up a huge room bill and all was complimentary, even a limo ride to and from the airport. If your game play is enough you could get your room complimentary, or with a very large discount off your next stay. You may also be given a casino host whom you can email for further visits, and will also give you great deals on any future Las Vegas hotel stays.

Take advantage of other Las Vegas hotels offering reward cards as they will also give you free buffet and slot play..You can have a gamble and eat for free without spending your own money. There is even a site for golfers to earn Las vegas freegolf sessions Look out for coupons and special offers from Amazon and flight/hotel booking agents, as these could save you heaps. If possible book excursions to the Grand Canyon, or helicopter tours in advance. these can normally be found where they sell show tickets too. There is lots of information on this page so read up as you will get lots of advice and tips.

Excalibur hotel review

This hotel is fantastic if you are taking the little ones away with you. It has plenty to do for the whole family and is based right on the strip along with all the other top hotels. You will find the rates here extremely reasonable and the choice of food is varied and of a high standard. they offer a really good meal deal for $25 dollars per day all you can eat meal deal.

The wide screen rooms are both spacious and newly decorated with great views of the strip if you can get one. They have six or seven shows within the casino including tournament of the kings and shows for all the family. With the 4D rides and shopping till you drop in the castle walk, or you could have a quick game of golf before resting around the new pool. The Royal treatment spa is great for pretending to be Queen for a day and the hotel caters for weddings and special occasions. All in all this is a fantastic all round hotel. My Excalibur hotel reviews are from my own personal experience as are all the tips in this article.

My recommended hotels

  • Planet hollywood hotels and casino: A very lively place to stay, and the clubs are some of the best in town. Formerly known as Aladdin resort and casino.
  • Hotel luxor las vegas; This pyramid shaped hotel holds lots of exhibitions, but watch out for the lifts, they are awesome.
  • Venitian hotel las vegas: I love the buzz in this wonderful place.
  • Wynn: Newer hotel and well worth a stay, pure luxury.
  • MGM Grand: And grand it is, full of action and fun for all ages

I hope Las vegas free, review, hints, and tips has been helpful in planing your trip away, and feel free to ask any advice in the comment box below.

Hi Helen, I live about 3 hours from Vegas, and I am always over there. I have never gambled a day in my life and don't intend to, but what I do is eat, eat, eat at all the buffets. I also love each and every hotel, they all have something unique to offer for free. I am awestruck by all of the new techno gadgets that each one includes in their draw for the public. For instance Cesar's Palace, in the Forum, the moving statues, and all the rest are fascinating. Thanks for the hub, just made me want to go back, now.
