Last Laugh

I'm hurting and down on my knees...

Satan, I know you're laughing at my hurting heart

But you wouldn't if you knew what it began to start

It started me trusting in my God again

Leaning on His what, where, and when.

Satan, I know you're smirking at me

But the whole picture you don't see

This is drawing me closer to my Lord

And the promises of His word.

Satan, you think you've got me in your hand

But God's already won, don't you understand?

My God's the One Almighty in control

Satan, I'm laughing now, you're the fool.

God is working all the bad things out on our behalf for His good and His glory. May we rest in His Word, wait patiently for His promises to take effect, rejoice in the journey, and shout a victory shout, "The enemy has been defeated!"
