I created a hub last year on Last Minute Christmas Gifts that may have some tips for your Christmas shopping this year!

What I would add to that this year would be to plan to start early - the day after Christmas - for your 2009 gift buying! With the economy as it is, you may find that there are great sales in the days and weeks after Christmas, and it would be a good time to pick out a few items for next year that can be stored and ready to go on Christmas Day 2009!

While you're at it, why not pick up a few early birthday gifts as well - if you're going to change those bad habits, maybe it's time to change them all!

If the tips from "Christmas Vacation" weren't enough, here are a few more ideas that might help out on those last days leading up to Christmas:

• Write a long letter of appreciation and memories.  Putting some thought into a gift for a friend or family member will be a memory they will keep longer than anything.
• Gift cards - they are always useful and give the person the chance to find something after Christmas that they may still be seeking.  And it also may give you the chance to go shopping with that person to help them pick something out.
• Food - if you have the ability to make something special, why not make an extra batch for someone for Christmas?
