In 1970's we can dangerously close to loosing the tiger for ever , 3 of the 8 subspecies of tiger are already extinct and numbers have come down drastically in the past decade .

A survey conducted in India alone concludes that there are a mear 1400 tigers left in the wild .

What is all this crap .........?

How dose it effect us .....?

Why should we be so much conscerned to save tigers ?

Well consider this scenario :

The main pray for the Tiger are the deers and antilopes and other herbivores .These animals live on grass and herbs, in order to help save the Tiger we must secre its pray first , to save the pray we must save the trees and the forests .So if we save the forest indirectly we save the Tiger .

Not only that forest help in storing rain watre and prevents soil erosion.Storing rain water help recharge our land water resources and thus making sure that we have plenty of water to our selves.Please that have less trees are largely effected by floods and famines , these places do not have fertile soil as most of that is eroded by the rains and as a result the productivity of the soil decreases and hence less food for the ever increasing population .

If there are no Tigers then the population of their pray will increase this will reduce the forests and thus resulting into foods , famines and ultimately Global Warming .

So in order to protect your selves help save the Tiger.

Tigers are hunted mainly because of their skins and bones .Though hunting of tigers are illegal , Thigers are still hunted in large numbres all over the world .Their skins are used as clothes and fashion , thiger bones are said to have medicenal valuse thatcan cure cancer and other diseases and have a huge demand in markets of China and Bhutan .

Poor farmers and and jobless men are lured by smugglers to kill the tiger .

The Indian government started the Project Tiger in the year 1972 to help protect its national animal .But lack of funds and negligence did not help the cause and Tigernumbers have come down drastically .In most parts where there are reserve forests most of the land has now been cleared and occupied by the people , Tigers find cattel as easy pray and hence angry villagers kill Tigers and they see them as a threat to them and their family .

It is high time that goverment paid attention and did what it could have in the last decade , still we have a chance or else our next generation will only read about Tigers or see them in videos .

Save the Tiger at least give it a chance .
