Jodha Akbar: A tale of love & war
Ashutosh Gowariker's much-awaited 'Jodha Akbar' is a film, which has been making everyone drool over exotic visuals and the sizzling starcast. The magnum opus is all set to be released in January-end.
The film is all set to showcase Ash-Hrithik pair amidst the magnificent sets depicting a sixteenth century tale of true love and war. The Ash Hrithik chemistry is still clearly alive with both the actors looking like picture perfect pieces of history. The duo were earlier seen in 'Dhoom 2'. However, it will be interesting to see their chemistry in the movie. Interestingly, 'Jodha Akbar' is Ash's first film after marriage.
The trailers of the film have already caught the imagination of the audience, which showcases the sheer magnificence and the authenticity of the sets. Director of the movie -- Ashutosh Gowariker -- has clearly loosened his purse strings to ensure that every detail on the sets was as authentic as it gets. 'Jodha Akbar' is Gowariker's most expensive production till date. The moot question is will 'Jodha Akbar' manage to enthrall the audience, if the sneak peeks are anything to go by, all we can say is a resounding yes.
Amitabh Bachchan to do voice over for 'Jodha Akbar'
MUMBAI: After a voice over for Lagaan, the Big B has been roped in to do the same for Jodha Akbar.
Bachchan is by now a veteran at voice overs as he has lent his baritone for a number of films like Bawarchi, Balika Badhu, Shatranj Ke Khilari, Tere Mere Sapne, Parineeta and Swami.
Jodha Akbar, which is scheduled for a Feb 15 release, is a historical saga of Emperor Akbar and his Rajput Queen Jodhabai. Bachchan, who will be the narrator for the film, was director Ashutosh Gowariker's only choice as he wanted someone who could convey both the gravity and historicity of the era.
For Bachchan, who has also done a voice over for the sound and light show at the Golconda fort, Hyderabad, where he takes the audience back to the days of the Nizam, doing a period film should be an easy task.
