Freida Pinto was an unknown name in Indian Film Industry few months back, untill Music Director A. R. Rahman got the Golden Globe Award for the Film Slumdog Millionaire. The film became popular overnigh and so the actor and actress of the film. Freida Pinto, the Mumbai born actress won the hearts of co-star Dev Patel and thousands of film viewers in that film.

Frieda Pito was earlier a model for two years, prior to turning to an actress when director Danny Boyle found her and casted in the film Slumdog Millionaire.
