La Toya  Jackson is an American singer-songwriter, musician and actress. She is the fifth child of the famous Jackson family.Latoya Jackson’s career started as a singer in 1980 and 1990  with her Billboard charting songs "Just Wanna Dance" and "Free The World".

A forthcoming album, Startin' Over, has yet to be released . In January 2009, Jackson was paid £103,000 to appear as a contestant on the British television program Celebrity Big Brother. She was the second member of the Jackson family to be on the show, the first being her brother Jermaine in 2007.

March 1989 issue of Playboy magazine is dedicated to Latoya Jackson; her nude photos in the magazine were instant hit selling over 8 million copies of the issue. This was the first time that Latoya Jackson was featured in Playboy; the magazine hit a record number of sales becoming the best selling issue ever.Then in 1991 once again Latoya Jackson appeared in Playboy magazine, but this time it was to promote her autobiography.

In 1991, La Toya Jackson, became the first to go public with her grievances. In an autobiography, "La Toya: Growing Up in the Jackson Family," she alleged that Joe Jackson abused them as children, charges that tore apart the family. 

La Toya further estranged herself from the family by twice posing naked for Playboy magazine and, in 1993, backing claims that her brother Michael molested children.

She later apologised for her actions and tried to reconcile with the family, saying that she was being manipulated by then-husband and manager Jack Gordon.
 

On January 10, 2007, the reality TV show Armed and Famous premiered on CBS starring Jackson and other celebrities. The program documented Jackson's basic training and service as a reserve police officer with the Muncie Police Department. Jackson maintains her badge by continuing to volunteer as a deputy.
