Today's Avalanche Money System feature reminds me of my beginning on the internet in 1995.
My #1 motivation for starting an internet company in 1995 was so I could stay home and raise my children. I had always swore at least they would have 1 full time at-home parent.
In 1995 I started writing a series of letters called "Tim's Home Town Stories" which was about growing up in my home town of Sheridan, Wyoming.
The stories were corney and akin to sitting around the old "pickle barrel" in an old time general store while listening to one of the locals spin their yarn.
However, the series became popular and eventually I had over 100,000 readers on the internet.
I was selling cleaning products that contained no dangerous components and called them earth friendly. The type of people reading my stories were also the type interested in my products.
Each week when I sent out a new story, I would include a small classified at the top and bottom of the story for my cleaning products.
That series of letters made me $200,000.00. Not too bad for 1995 on the internet.
Anyway, getting back to those laughing children and paper index cards.
As I started adding people to my email list as they requested to receive my stories, I started to notice that it was getting more and more complicated to keep a text file of emails organized.
So I started putting the emails and names on index cards so that if someone sent me an email I could look at the index card for their name, and any previous notes about that person.
Once the list go up past 10,000 people I had one gigantic job keeping track of all these. So I decided to give my children, always on the beg for spending money, a job to do.
I would give each of them part of the alphabet, and a search to do for certain types of responses.
I would also have them go thru and pull out all the people that had asked to be removed from the list. When people joined the list, I had them go thru and make sure they were not already on my list so I would not have duplicates.
It was easier for my children to spread them out on the floor and our living room became covered with small organized piles of index cards and the kids just having a blast and moving them around as if it was a big game.

It was fun, but I knew this was going to become an insane circus if I kept building my list.
List of email were so new at this time no one had developed software to manage them. Well, almost no one. I finally found some software to help me manage this growing monster for $300.00. A bargain in my opinion.
The point of this is that when you start to build a list of your own, which you will do with Avalanche, you need software that will help you manage it.
