Located at SE 39th & Stark Laurelhurst Park has many entrances. Whichever you choose your first view will be striking yet calming.

A large open field serves as an offleash dog park. The offleash area has been temporarily moved to the NW Corner of the park. Whether on leash on the paths or offleash in the open areas to run this is a great park for you and your furry friend.

Large paths make their way around and through the park. They leave enough width for walkers, joggers, bicycles or even rollerskaters. Smaller dirt paths pop up to create shortcuts from one section to another.

The entire park is laced with a variety of trees. Some are identified with small plaques at their base. Benches are located in strategic spots to enjoy a few minutes in the silent awesomeness of these giants.

A very squirrel friendly location - you will see many little heads popping up and scurrying across pathways. Pairs will run and play chase games around trees and over fields. Used to being stared at many of them will not run away from the unintruding passerby.

On the far East side of the park sits a large pond. Surrounded by trees and ducks this area commands a few moments of quiet reflection.

The trees in the 5th picture from the top look as though they are performing Tai Chi exercises of the early morning. The squirrel is watching them.
