How Does the Law of Attraction Work?

After the Movie "The Secret" the Law of Attraction became a commonly used term nationwide. Chances are you have watched this movie as well. Maybe you haven't but know the concept.

Quite simply stated, like attracts like. If you are a very driven and motivated individual you will more easily connect with others who share the same attributes and passions.

Your mood also affects the outcome of certain events. The thoughts you focus on manifest themselves in reality. Whatever you focus expands, and what you think about, you simply bring about.

Your life is always moving in the direction of your most predominant focus.

When you focus on connecting with individuals instead of "recruiting" or "pitching" you certainly have used the Law of Attraction in building that relationship.

One example of having the Law of Attraction to work for you would be at an online forum. In my recent online networking, I have had the priveledge of connecting with someone that I know will be someone I will work with for the rest of my life. I can already see us on the front cover of Entrepreneur Magazine.

It all started by networking on Cafe Mom - an online forum for Moms. I found a group on Attracting the natural way or "Networking Naturally" - a small close knit community of Internet Network Marketers.

I began to post forums - not pitching my business or my services - but offering valuable information to the group. The creator and moderator of the group took a liking to me and sought me out to work with her in some form. Although, I didn't join her primary Network Marketing opportunity I did, however, connect with her on a personal and internet marketing level and now we are accountability partners. We phone each other each day and hold each other accountable to our daily goals keeping each other focused and productive.

We are working on some major marketing projects as well and are partnering up with others in the Network Marketing Industry to create multiple income streams together.

Had I not been an "attractive" voice in that community, this relationship would have never formed.

You see, you have to really help others without expecting any help in return or without expecting someone to join you in business so that you can truly attract business partners to you.

Tips for Maximizing your Online "Attractiveness"

Tip #1

Always come from the heart never expecting anyone to join you in your business or for someone to "owe" you anything. The quote that always comes to mind is something I heard from one of my online mentors Mike Dillard. "You have to give without want before you can have."

Tip #2

Write short motivational type of posts. Something you say, now matter how insignificant to you, may help someone a great deal on a bad day. Share inspiration -whether it be a personal story or something in a great movie - like "The Secret" or "The Law of Attraction in Action" by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

Maybe something from a cool Disney Movie even - I love "Meet the Robinsons".

Tip #3

Reply to others' posts. If you read an awesome post send a quick reply thanking the person for sharing the tip. A simple "I appreciate you" gives people the warm fuzzies - thanks, Andrea, for putting me on to that statement!

Tip #4

Introduce yourself to others with similar interests to you. Let them know that you noticed they also "x, y, z" or is passionate about "x" and you are too. Follow their posts. Reply to their posts. That way you continue to interact and get to know each other.

Tip #5

If you see yourself connecting with someone really nicely ask them if it's okay you contact them by email or phone to get to know each other better. I actually sought my accountability buddy's phone and email. That gave her some sign that I might be interested in other projects and income producing opportunities.

Tip #6

If there is an opportunity for you to link a blog to your online forum or social networking site do it. I have learned so much about others and their passions by reading their blogs.

Tip #7

Continue to network naturally with others in different communities. Sometimes you have to search around for a group you can find a fit for yourself in.

Tip # 8

Always have links to your capture pages for your primary network marketing, affiliate network marketing, or myspace or youtube accounts. This is a great way for others to get to know you better too.

Tip #9

Always continue learning and growing. Read personal development books and listen to inspirational audio whenever you can. You can get an "ah ha" moment and that could be your next post for your online forum or for your autoresponder sequence.

I loved the move "the secret" I just asked my girlfriend tonight if she saw it because I had it on Dvd in front of me and its ironic on the one day I haven't talked about it or seen it for months, that you come out with a hub about it! I love it, its a good movie and you made this hub nicely ^_^

Great hub! It is so important to just get out there and get active in communities. Until we get active and start meeting people we'll never know who we just might meet!!

Hi Dali,

I am also a member of Cafe Mum and in the Mums networking naturally group. You obviously are a lot like me. Every book you have read I have read. Your mentors are similar as well.

Like your post. Thanks

Our business is based on the same principals used in The Secret. I am empowered by likeminded people everyday!
