Law of Affirmation has been used ages ago. It served to encourage people before battles during thousands of years and nowadays, it has many uses in sales training, sports, etc.

This law simply states that words help us focus our minds on ideas. Therefore, we can get a state of mind desired by using regularly affirmations. Napoleon Hill, the author of Think And Grow Rich, used this law in his famous Six Steps, the method by which desire for riches could be transmuted into its financial equivalent. Exactly, he used it in the sixth step.

Generally speaking, none of us has the habit to talk to ourselves, but the benefits of doing that are tremendous. Just repeating to yourself what you want to be or have everyday can change the things around you. It causes you to visualize that success scenario you dream of. You bring it closer and closer. So, why don't you dedicate some time to put into practice this amazing law?

It's been said that using affirmations, our potential is literally unlimited. However, there are some advices we must to be aware of before using this powerful technique in order to get results.

1) "Use present tense". This means that any assertive statement we say has to be about something that is happening now. Of course, here we'll use our imagination, for the things we want to happen haven't happened yet (that's the point). For example, we want a brand-new BMW. We'll say then "I own a brand-new BMW". Any other statement made using future tense will be far less effective. Only present tense well used encourages ourselves to behave or to do things that harmonize with our goals.

2) "Use first person". Since we are trying to bring about a change in our own lives and for ourselves, this is important. It won't be useful to say something like "My boss is going to promote me". The fact that you realize that you are the one who can start the changes, who can take action for your own happiness, is important.

3) "Use positive affirmations". It's not right to try with statements like "I am not a ... " or "I don't ...". Instead, what you must say is "I am an attractive guy (or girl)" or "I earn 10 thousand dollars a month".

By repeating those affirmations, and believing them deeply, soon you'll get what you dream all night long.
