Lawrence Baker LoneWolf from Sydney Australia

"Lawrence Baker LoneWolf" is a singer, songwriter and musician from Sydney, Australia who started playing guitar at the age of 13. He said, “Guitar quickly became an attachment and I took it everywhere, including skiing and football trips.” He began writing songs at the age of 16 with a high school friend.

His creativity for music and songwriting allowed him to write songs at home when alone or anywhere he and his guitar would be. “I wrote the song “Nowhere State of Mind” in the back seat of a car while waiting for a movie at a drive-in theater,” he says.

According to LoneWolf, he has goals of becoming a musical communicator and has recently produced an album with 14 original songs. The name of the album is “Lawrence Baker LoneWolf - Force of Nature” which has a two track European single name “As The Crow Flys” that has been released in Europe and available for sale.

First, at the age of 16, LoneWolf produced his first song and was jamming with other artists in the afternoons writing new songs. Then, his first live solo gig was at a hospital fundraiser that was a huge success when he was 20 years old. At the age of 23, LoneWolf was touring Australia with a band known as “The Glass Cannons” who were supported by both International and local headline bands like Suzi Quatro, Wendy Mathews, The Party Boys, The Chantoozies, Big Pig and many more. After five years of touring with the band, LoneWolf disbanded the Cannons to pursue his own solo career.

Second, LoneWolf became established in1996 after buying a small nightclub called “Venue 1” which is located in a suburb of the Central Coast of New South Wales or “The Entrance.” It is also a very popular area for tourists and locals who gave LoneWolf the opportunity to perform and showcase his talent while sourcing players that could help him create the sound he was striving to achieve. Then, he successfully established the first Central Coast Sunday Night Unplugged session hosting local musicians, singers and performers sharing passion and a music base where the songs were performed and honed meticulously in the fires of acoustic live performances. During this time, he recorded an acoustic five track EP and sold many copies on the coast alone.

Then in 2005, LoneWolf toured the United States of America and met many music industry professionals, such as, Americana legend Arthur Godfrey. It was 2006 that he recorded his single in Germany with Songhouse International, an independent record company where he became the company's first international artist to be signed. His single earned radio airplay in Germany, France and Belgium.

Meanwhile, LoneWolf's love for music, songwriting and entertaining introduced him to Dave Russell, an engineer, operator and owner of Skylab Studio in Sydney Australia. The rest is now history and the future has begun with his new album “Lawrence Baker LoneWolf - Force of Nature.” After two years in the making and 14 tracks of the heart, soul and spirit, the album is now here and on sale with exposure on Internet radio. Jay Leno and David Letterman also have a copy of the album.

Later in October of 2007, Conte’s Networking Communications in Northern California introduced Lonewolf’s music to XRQK in Lancaster, Calif. Program director Steve Webb became impressed with the "LoneWolf" sound promoting his album to 400 stations worldwide.

“I will be honored to interview LoneWolf live when he enters the USA,” says Webb.

Consequently, the solo/singer had planned an international tour in the US in 2008 performing with a six-piece band and a special guest keyboardist. The music is likened to that of young Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams making it appreciated by a large audience globally. His songs are journey songs keeping them real, expressed with meaning of his life experiences.

"I write so that the listener will say, I know what that track is about, that's me, I've been there. Listeners connect with the material," says Lonewolf.

For example, his song “Used To Be My Girl” was written after he watched an episode of people lined up to see a movie on the Seinfeld Show. His unique songwriting techniques created this song by imagining being lined up outside the theatre to see a movie with situations happening around them.

“Well I thought, imagine if that was you, and you were with a new partner, but ahead of you in the line was your very recent ex-girlfriend. She was with a new person, you were with a new person, and you both are aware of each other being there. It's all about the unspoken moments between two ex-partners, like a Wayne's World moment," he says.

Finally, LoneWolf's dreams and goals from his heart are reaching destiny to venture out into the world and become a communicator, songwriter, singer, performer and a musician. He hopes touring will give him and his back-up band “The 7 Deadly Sins” the opportunity to play live and let the songs do what they are written to do, which is connecting with people through live performances.

“This is the greatest compliment any singer, songwriter and performer can achieve,” he says.

He sends his message and wants to be heard, "I think my music differs because it is Rock, it's organic and not prefab. I want to make the connection with the listener either by radio, TV or live performance."

In conclusion, LoneWolf has the energy to perform great songs that'll always conjure up a memory in the listeners mind with the passion for music to always write great songs.

"I want the songs to be a memory about someone connecting with their lives," he says. You can listen to LoneWolf and buy his album at www.myspace.com/lawrencebaker39lonewolf39
