62Lead Generation Tips on Linkedin
Lead Generation is pretty simple. There's really no deep or super secret technique that you need to know. Here's simple technique, whatever you're trying to accomplish, write an article about and I'll almost guarantee you'll be able to generate a lead based on the title of the article. This is the simplest technique, I'd recommend.
Let me explain, for instance look at the title of this hub: Lead Generation on Linkedin. I've generated leads on Linkedin, but I'm sure a lot of people are looking to generate leads there too. This hub, plus a little offsite bookmarking, will generate leads. But there's a couple key principles that need to be covered before you employ this strategy.
- You have to have something valuable to offer your audience by valuable, I don't mean your pearly white smile :)!. You actually have to give them something to walk away with that will enrich their lives. In fact give them all of what you got as far as marketing, tips, book reviews, discussion. Look, there are thousands of people doing what you're doing, who are more skilled, knowledgable etc. Don't try and hold anything back, for a back end sale. With so much competition, you're brand has to be offering way more value than the average visitor expects. People are on the web to be informed, so don't look for the upfront sale. No one is going to buy from you the second they hit your website. In all actuality your goal is to open them up to recieving future emails from you where you describe the benefits of what you have to offer. Here's an easy way to get this: various training I am talking about. Go to youtube and find a so called "guru" not the really big ones but find a little know person and watch their training vids and type out what you've learned. Now a video is fantastic, but there's a subtle sense of authority that comes from information in print that you just can't get as easily in video. So I suggest not 'stealing" but interpreting and summarizing and tie-ing information that you learn from youtube and online. Plus you've probably have some old tapes, cds, dvds with valuable information that you can pass on to your visitors.
- In addition providing your own information, I recommend promoting Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring Book. Why? Because it's a no fluff -(NO bullshit) comprehensive guide on attraction marketing and leadership. You don't want to chase your family and friends, why not make sure your leads and future business partners learn that chasing their family and friends is not the way to build their business. See the key to network marketing is not networking per se, the key is really "professional marketing" you. That means, getting you and your brand of information in front of people. Yes you can sell to you're blue in the face, but selling is not coaching and Great coaches get the best out of their team. You can Pick Up Your Copy of Magnetic Sponsoring Here
- Lastly maximize the resources that you currently have, if you don't have monetary marketing budget- SO WHAT. Become a writer, join some forums, learn some cool free marketing techniques on Linkedin and rock out, baby. You are only limited by you're creativity. Here's what you can do: Read or buy a copy of Success Magazine and start discussions on hubs, forums and blogs, critiquing and interpreting articles and advice within. People need to like you before they care how much you know. Dreaming or whining about a marketing budget that you do not have will not get you any closer to that marketing budget.
So now that we've discussed those three items I suggest you include in your lead generation. Simply adapted this technique to LinkedIn. Join Groups, Comment on Popular Forum Posts, However when you do comment always congratulate either original poster or congratulate the guy before you in the post. Stroke the Ego I guess, but it opens up dialog and encourages more comments. Remember I said people have to like you before they care about what you know....booyah in the flesh.
But hey if you've found this article insightful feel free to Re-Write This article hub or link to this hub. I will keep adding more and probably link to more cool tips.
