Speeding

Speeding is no bueno!

Where’s the Fire Son?

I have heard this phrase uttered at least a couple of times by Officers of the Law issueing me a speeding ticket! And they are right….where is the fire? Well there is no fire I’m just endangering my life by driving eratically. There is no reason for driving 85 MPH or faster; if you get into a head on collision with a car also driving that speed, it’s like hitting a wall at…ah more math; hitting a wall at 170MPH. ReDONKulous! Guess what…you done…light out! Chew on that for awhile.

Another funny thing about socal (not really though) is when it rains. It rains probably a total of 4 day here. Non-stop sun the rest! Sun and more: bright, sunny, sunshine….yuck! Any ways when it rains people lose their minds. The do not take account for the weather at all. Let me break it down to you:

  1. It Rains!
  2. People think “hey lets go for a Drive”
  3. The rain mixes with 200 days worth of oil, dirt, grim, nasty exhaust stuff, trash.
  4. The wet road becomes a wet slick road.
  5. People don’t understand that the only thing between them and the freeway is the little patch of tire touching the ground and continue to drive at top speed.
  6. That little patch of tire hits a nice oil slick.
  7. A car goes sliding in slow motion right in front of me across 23 lanes of traffic backwards.
  8. Finally, the look of some poor terrified fool is permanently burner into my brain. Not Cool!

So was the second leading cause of traffic related deaths in Texas in 2001; claiming 481 lives (according to the Texas Department of Public Safety).

This could be you!
