CHAPTER TWO:

Dec 4, 2008: Boy, I thought that since my mommy wasn't working this winter, that she would have more time to help me work on my hub pages!!! But no, she's busy, busy busy! Every afternoon, they just up and take off for a few hours! I guess going to the pool and sun bathing is way more important than spending the Whole day with me! Oh, don't get me wrong, when they do come back, Mommy does take time and play with me, works with me on my tricks and even some training.

The best part of the day is when they allow me off my leash, and I'm free to roam my yard. My yard is still fill with those darn things that get into my feet and hurts like the dickens! But it is getting better, for both Mommy and daddy work on my yard to help get rid of those nasty things. I still have to tip toe carefully, or I end up with a bunch in my feet at one time.

It's good to be back with my best friend, Susie Q. Susie is a York-a-pooh that is just a little older than me. I sure was worry about her the first time I saw her. She acted so depressed and wouldn't play with me. Her daddy is in the hospital and her mommy is gone all day long and then they are having their home remodeled, so she is stuck inside all day without her parents and with strangers running in and out. But the more I go over and play with her, the more she is coming out of her depressed mood.

I even have some new friends to play with. I think there are a few boy doggies that are sweet on me. They are cute; as long as they behave themselves. And if they don't, I just let them know, that I know how to box and I won't hesitate to box their ears in!

I have to tell you this funny little story: You know that mommy works a lot with me on my tricks. She has taught me "bang, your dead" and I have to respond by laying on my side, with my head down and I have to lay perfectly still until she tells me that I'm a good girl. Well, she has worked long and hard with me on it. Mommy thought that she would show me off with my tricks; well I fooled her!!! I would do my hand shake and high five, but that was the limit!!! I thought it was funny when everyone thought mommy a little goofy, because I refused to act dead in front of people.

Now, I really love Susie Q's mommy, she calls me her grandma; well anyways, I naturally have to perform for her. She needed a laugh and to put on a smile, so I act my silliest around her.

Once again, mommy tries to show my tricks off to everyone, and again I just refuse to do the "bang, your dead"....then I decided that maybe I better stop making mommy look silly in front of her friends, so now I will show everyone what I have learned. We don't want them to think mommy don't spend any time with me.

Well it's a very chilly day, and even though I don't care for the cold, I still love my walks and they are going to take me for one. Mommy does put on my coat, and now she has made me a Jingle Bell necklace-so when I'm out walking I'm already in the spirit of Christmas....
