Who Is Leandro Carvalho? The Butt Master

Before we go into this incredible workout, let's first discuss some credibility for Mr. Leandro Carvalho.  Leandro was born and raised in Brazil, he started off as a prestigious dancer before he earned a Physical Education degree.  Over the past few years Carvalho has become one of the most innovative and best International Fitness trainers around.  He has especially become very popular in the New York scene, which is a great place to get famous in.  Carvalho has not only received a degree in Physical education, but he has also received every personal trainer certificate that there is to get.

There is a reason why so many supermodels come out of Brazil, and part of that reason is because of Leandro Carvalho.  He has worked with several Victoria Secret Models, one being Alessandra Ambrosio, in fact, he helped her lose her weight after she had a baby, so she could make the Victoria Secret fashion show.  But Carvalho first broke onto the scene when he was invited to do a private workout at Sting's house, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks were some of the guests that day.  

The workouts that have made him popular are the Brazilian Butt Lift, Brazilian Tummy Tuck, Brazilian Groove, and the Brazilian Body Surf.  The Brazilian Butt Lift and the Brazilian Tummy Tuck has been featured as the Best Fitness Class in New York by New York Magazine's 'Best of' issue.  He has been featured in magazines like Marie Claire, Elle, Time Out, Vogue, New York Magazine, Health, and the New York Times.  He has also made TV appearances on WB's morning fitness segment and the Today Show.


Brazil Butt Lift - Coming Soon!!

So there is good news for all of us who do not live in New York and cannot go to one of Carvalho's Brazil Butt Lift workout classes, he is finally coming out with his own home workout DVD system. Now this workout will probably be more directed towards women, but I am sure it will be a good workout for guys to. There is not a lot of information on how long the workouts are going to be, how may sessions there are or equipment you may need for the workouts. But if it is anything like his class, then the workout sessions will be around 30 minutes long. Carvalho uses plies and squats to start off his workouts before he goes into more difficult moves using plyometrics and dance. He has also been know to use Body bars in his workouts for more resistance. The key is to keep your heart rate elevated for cardiovascular endurance and burning fat. There is usually a Brazilian Booty shake at the end of the sessions to break down any built up lactic acid. Now this is how his live goes usually goes, but we can assume that his in-home workout routines will be about the same.
