The sleek-looking Leapster 2 console is very sturdy, comfortable and easy to hold. Since it is portable,kids can take it in the car on long rides, or play with it when waiting for an appointment. When they come home, they can connect it to their computer in order to collect online rewards, or print and share artwork.

The Leapster 2 comes with two pre-installed educational games:

1. "Dragons to the Rescue! Learning Game". In this video game, the kids navigate a dragon past storm clouds and collect magic crystals. It comes with 4 levels. The first teaches kids to identify numbers and letters and the more advanced helps kids practice spelling and multiplication.

2. "Creativity Castle Art Studio" is an art program that lets you select a background scene to color, and then decorate it using fun animated stamps.

There are many more fun and educational games that can be downloaded online or purchased in game cartirdges.

The only downside of the Leapster 2 is that you have to purchase the SD card separately in order to be able to take advantage of all the online features.
