Learn Italian - Travel to Italy

I have a natural ability to learn European languages. I speak Italian fluently and have spoken Spanish widely a while ago. I also have studied Dutch, German and french. I have never tried learning Asian or other languages, but I am sure that I could learn them quickly if I chose. This site is

for people who really have a passion to learn How to Speak Italian. Everyone knows some of The Italian Language from movies, TV or menus. However if you want to take your knowledge of Italian to a new level, this is the site for you.

Italian always stuck with me because I could relate with the Italian people I knew well. This site is dedicated to speaking Italian for all different reasons. I hope you enjoy it and the variety of Italian things I will bring to you.

Egypt's Sunken Treasures

Original Submerged Artifacts from the Nile River
Original Submerged Artifacts from the Nile River

Ancient Egypt in Turin

I ran across a very interesting article on ancient Egypt. A new exhibit entitled "Egypt's Sunken Treasures" just recently debuted in Turin on February 12, 2009 at the Venaria Reale (which is Turin's Versailles-like palace). See this link to tour Venaria Reale. This exhibit displays art and architectural artifacts that were recoved from the Nile River.

The artificacts span from a period of 800 B.C. to about 700 A.D. They have been recovered from a depth of 6 meters of the Nile River. The historical developments that have been revealed from these artifacts show how Byzantine, Greek, Roman and Arab influence had changed Egyptian culture a at that time. These items were recovered from submerged cities of Herakleion and Canopus and other submerged sections of Alexandria.
