They did not buy every single thing I ever wanted. They do not spend my money on whatever they wanted. They watched their spending and carefully saved.

This may not seem glamorous, but it is the best money making secrets around. The more you save now, the more money you could have in the future. You don't have to make a lot of money in order to take advantage of this principle. Start by saving 5 to 10% of what you make each month. You'll be surprised how much this could amount to.

Increase your Income

Another way to make more money is to increase your income. This is what most people think wealthy people have. They have a huge income each month. This must be one of the best-kept money making secrets, right? How do they get their income so high? Many do not have an enormous income, but there are ways to increase your income.

First of all, you can get a better job. If you don't already have a college degree, get one and find a job that pays better. Sometimes you get settled into your existing job and forget about advancing. Advancing your career can really increase your income.

You can also ask for a raise or promotion with a raise. This is probably the easiest way to increase your income because you do not need to spend time going back for an education or looking for new job. The problem, however, is that asking your boss for a raise is very difficult. If you can get over that, getting a raise is a great way to make more money.

Invest what you can Save

One of the best, and my favorite, money making secrets, is to invest the money that you say. Remember that 5 to 10% you are saving each month? Use that money to invest. Invest in mutual funds or learn how to invest in stocks, bonds, or other securities and investments.

Investing what you save over the long-term pain increase your money a huge amount. This is probably a money making secret that many wealthy people abide by. If you save $1,000 a year for 30 years, and you earn an average of 8% each year, you will have over $100,000.

Due to the power of compounding, double that amount of savings each month and you can make over $220,000 which is more than double.  Wealthy people probably save much more than that.  Some might even invest several thousand dollars a month.  The more you invest, the wealthier you can be.

Win the Lottery or Inherit Money

If you're lucky you could win the lottery or inherit millions.  Most people will never win anything or inherit much at all.  That is why you need to work hard.  If you are looking for money making secrets, you won't find them.  You will only learn that making money and building wealth is about working hard, saving, and investing.  It's the best way and will work if you do it right.
