Spanish is second only to English for the number of language learners intent on mastering the language.

Here I'm going to list online, PC and hand held games for learning Spanish in the hopes that people will find it useful in their language learning efforts.

I know they've been useful for me and in some instances very addictive! But if they improve my Spanish then its worth it.

BBC Languages Spanish - The BBC site is great as a jump off point to other language learning resources. They've got a crossword game, soap opera and other puzzlers.

MFL Games - This is a great resource with hundreds of games in different categories. Classics like wordsearch, crosswords, hangman, scrabble and even a scratch cards game. This is huge - give it a go!

Transparent Languages - Another site offering wordsearch and word scramble. This site also has a Spanish vocabulary game too.

Digital Dialects - This one has maths puzzles to help with your numbers as well as word matching games to help your Spanish vocab.

Rocket Spanish - This is a great little desktop app that you can download or send off for. It has a full language learning system as well as being packed with vocabulary games, word games and much, much more.

Spanish For The Real World - This is getting a bit old now but it's very well respected for its quality and teaching style. Published by Kaplan who are well known for their language teaching resources.

Amigos Spanish Games - These are really addictive and fun games. You get a huge range of word games in two different packages. One being more geared towards verbs and the other general vocabulary. Available for both Windows and Mac too!

My Spanish Coach - A great little Nintendo DS game that offers vocab quizzes and checks your progress. You can use the stylus to write your answers too!

Spanish For Everyone - Another great Nintendo DS game that takes you on a role play journey to Mexico where strangers and friends help you learn Spanish as you go.
