Learn Spanish for Free for the New Year
58The new year is here and we are all making our resolutions. Many of them involve weight loss and gym memberships. However, instead of spending money on a gym you will only visit a few times why not invest your time in learning a foreign language?
I've compiled some free online resources to help you learn Spanish. (That just happened to be the language I thought I'd start with. I might research some others later.)
- StudySpanish.com has a large number of Spanish lessons and vocabulary with audio components. They provide smaller free lessons to entice you to buy the larger course lessons.
- 1 2 3 Teach Me also has a selection of lessons with audio components. They are divided into basic, conversational, kids and fun.
- Spanicity has a good deal of vocabulary and some lessons with audio components. They also have some Spanish songs.
- Spanishprograms.com offers 11 free lessons with audio and video components. However, registration is required and they are trying to sell their complete lesson package.
- Learn-Spanish-Help.com has a large selection of vocabulary. However, there is no audio component. But they do have links to a number of Spanish radio stations.
To further aid your Spanish studies here are some videos with common Spanish phrases. The videos show the Spanish spellings for the phrases used and repeat each word several times.

Great to see you can learn a new language without having to spend a lot of money.
It will definitely help you get started. However, if you are really serious you'll probably still end up shelling out a little money. But hopefully you'll be able to save the cost of the beginning class. :)
