Learn Heel Toe

Instructions: (This move is pretty hard to teach like this so I have been trying to work on making it easier to understand. So just work with what we have and if you think you can help then please submit a lesson. Ok start off in the beginning position with feet shoulder width apart.

Now your going to jump up, not to far off the ground, and land lining up your right foot directly in front of your left. You should land on the heel of your right foot and the toe of your left foot.

Now turn your right foot l to the right, make sure only the heel is on the ground so that the rest of the foot can pivet (Normally you would be doing all of this faster so you wouldn't have to worry about balancing yourself). This will probably cause you to want to fall to your left, so do so, start falling to the left slightly and then stop yourself with your left foot by moving it about one foot to the left.

Now jump again, bringing your weight back to its center and land with your left foot this time in front of your right foot, on your left foots heel and right foots toes.

Now you just do the same to the other side. Turn your left foot on its heel to your left and step to the right about one foot with your right foot.

Now jump again and bring your weight back to your center and land with your right foot crossed in front of your left and do it all over again. The tricky part and the part that makes this look good is when you fall to either the left or the right you want to spend as little time as possible on the foot that you catch yourself with. You want to fall and pop yourself back to the center position, but don't jump too high when going back to the center position, your head really doesn't move up and down at all. This takes a lot of practice, you probably won’t get it the first time and it might look weird but just keep practicing and try to find a natural rhythm.
