You've fallen in love with your leather jacket and you want to make sure that its around for many years to come, looking as cool and chic as the day you first took it home, here's a handy guide to ensure exactly that :

• Most Leather Jackets are pre conditioned, but you can apply a water proof protector to the skin to ensure it stays 100% safe in the rain. You will want to do this every now and again. Make sure you use a product specificially developed for use on leather to ensure you dont clog the leather and stop it from breathing properly.

• If your Leather Jacket becomes wet the best way to deal with this is by drying it at room temperature away from intense heat or fans. When the leather is almost dry try adding a conditioner or moisturiser to make sure it stays flexible and doesnt go stiff. You may also find that the jacket will dry better when placed on a towel to help absorb the water

• When subjecting your jacket to heat for example in a hot area you should apply a leather conditioner to ensure that the jacket doesnt crack, on the other side of the spectrum if you live in a particularly wet area (I.e Britain!) special care must be taken to prevent the jacket from moisture and mildew
