Robert Plant On Tour - Newcastle City Hall

When Robert Plant began releasing solo material I was about 15, having missed led zeop live by a couple of years and been brainwashed by my cousin. I managed to get tickets for the show at Newcastle City Hall to promote "Big Log" and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of screaching and strutting that went on.

The following year I also managed to get a ticket for the city hall show to promote "Tall Cool One" and the pace of the show had picked up a bit.

Fast forward to the glastonbury festival appearance a few years later and the set consisted almost entirely of zeppelin back catalogue, requested by the younger members of the band.

Not a bad thing at all in my view. There is room for a range of influences and tempos. The mood shifts from eastern influenced rock to acoustic numbers.
