Ham Casserole Recipe

There are so many things you can do with leftover ham - especially if it's a good one. Here's one tasty recipe that the whole family will enjoy. With a creamy, cheesy base and your favorite noodles, you can't go wrong. You can even prepare it the day before and just pop in the oven for 25 minutes when you're ready to serve. It's THAT easy.

Ham Casserole with Peas and Noodles

1 ½ cups chopped ham

½ cup parmesan cheese

1 8 oz. brick low-fat cream cheese, softened

1 T margarine

2 cups cooked egg noodles (drain) (roughly 4 oz. uncooked)

1 (15 oz.) can peas

½ package Onion Soup mix (or less - kids generally prefer less)

Combine the cooked noodles and all ingredients except ¼ cup of parmesan. Place in a 9 x 13 pan. Put remaining ¼ cup of parmesan cheese on top. Bake at 350 until heated through (about 25 minutes). Serve with crusty bread and a green salad.
