Lesbian dating services online is something that came to my attention only some weeks back. I know there was a lot of online dating sites and online dating services online including gay and lesbian dating services. It's just that I never got around to use it myself until a friend, Carol (not her real name) told me about it.

Carol is a female red head lesbian. We've been good friends for over 4 years now. We got to know each other on a chance meet up when I was browsing through a bookstore where we stroke a conversation about the section on humanity that we were browsing one day.

Fast forward, we've become good friends now.

She was telling me the other day on how she is using these online dating sites to meet women faster than she would going about her normal life. It was interesting to note on her confessions that it's probably more safe and healthy than going to gay clubs.

I didn't really probe for details on that safe and healthy part.

She did mention about her experiences though that she get let down a lot and she wonders what others experience has been on exploring their sexualities through online lesbian dating services.

I told her that she gets the good and the bad with online dating like all things in life. Online dating services even give you amplification in many regards it allows people to paint a false image of who they are and what they want - which was one reason of her disappointment.

On the other hand, online dating I believe is a good medium for those who are new to accepting their sexual preferences as I can imagine accepting it yourself and to go to gay club for the first time can be daunting.
