Catch up on Day One

Day Two
Todays temperature, 97.03.

Apparently I'm less fertile today than yesterday. I knew those extra lines were gonna be good for something.

I'm trying out this fertility software program from Ovusoft. It has a free 15-day free trial, which is nice because if I'm not going to follow through with something, I usually stop well before 15 days.

The program is based on the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. My first time using the program, I kinda suck at it. It's not difficult or too techie; it's just a little personal. I mean, we've just met. It's only been downloaded for a couple of hours and it's already asking me questions about vaginal sensation, how my cervix feels, what position it's in, and whether it's open. I'm too embarrassed to admit to it that I don't even know how to tell. I'm still trying to figure out to get my hands (or fingers) on that mucus stuff.

I've accepted that once I'm in stirrups in front of my husband, three nurses, and a doctor that I'll lose all sense of modesty, but I haven't even gotten to the frisky business yet. On the plus side the program comes with a tutorial that has a wealth of information about the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM). It does not, however, tell me where to find cervical mucus.

What I've learned since yesterday...
Taking your temperature before you get out of bed buys you another 2 minutes under snuggly covers.
Having hubby fetch the thermometer makes those 2 extra minutes even more gratifying.
Nobody wants to talk about where to find cervical mucus.
My new software program doesn't care about my .03 either.

Day Three

Does size matter?

  • It's just right.
  • It needs to be longer.
  • It needs to be shorter.
  • Are we talking about blogs?
