Lesson # 3 Avatars and Similar Concepts

I will not lie, this is one of the touchier things to cover and much of it is subjective to the beliefs, personalities, and ideals of the person. In all my research I have not found a more conflicted topic among the Metaphysical thinkers.

I must make it very clear that what I say in this is purely my own personal opinion.

By this point if you have gone through the other lessons previous and conducted your own research (which I strongly suggest you do) you will have come across the concepts of Avatar, Totem Animals, Guides, and however else they call it. I have noted the striking similarity between these separate concepts and conclude that there is a theme.

Now not all people use the visualization technique to encounter other beings mundane or ethereal, but it does not really matter how you communicate in the ether realms. I recently talked to someone who uses sound as his communication technique, but for the sake of simplicity I will stick to the more visual aspects.

 Personal Image in the ethereal realm is like creating an Avatar in cyberspace (I can hear a lot of angry people over this comparison, but oh well).  For the most part the projection will be something that ties in integrally to your personality.  It can be changed at will, but unless it ties into who you really are it won't stick very well.  Ideologies and culture affect the image quite a bit, but unless you have such a strong personality and will then how others view you will be affected by their own culture and ideologies allowing them to still see the real you, but one that they comprehend. 

Depending on the things that a person focuses on the projection can simply be colours, sound, detailed images, creatures, objects, or even elements.  There are too many to include, but those listed are the common ones. 

 I group these together, because I think they are related if not the same.  Keeping in mind that we can project an Avatar of ourselves it stands to reason that some if not all of the Totem Animals and Guides must be mundane.  Now this is one of the touchier subjects to discuss.  As there are ethereal beings-some of these may undoubtedly decide to project Avatars of their own.  This is after all simply a way of communicating when you come right down to it. 

There are altogether too many variables to consider in this area.  For instance the Totem Animals may very well be the conscience of the mundane animals of our tangible realm.  There isn't enough data to test this at the point where I'm at now.  I know that not everything I see is in a shape I would have considered and so must conclude that there may well be ethereal creatures/beings that project those. 

Also another factor to consider is the possibility that the ethereal realm is a place where not only our world connects.  There are altogether too many myths and folk tales about alternate realms for me to be satisfied with popular explanations.

This is a realm of the undefinable.  Have fun exploring and questing with your mind.

 I include this last bit with the lesson.  Research Shamanism.  From what I have seen Shamanism deals with the projection into the ethereal more so than any other sect.  Tired of hearing me say it?  Research!  Research!  Research!  Personal research is mandatory if you desire to learn anything of value.
