Commit to change my DEBT FREE ACTION PLAN.

I am about to face a very BIG challenge. I am on a mission to help as many people I can get out of debt. So, Lesson three is: PLAN to Reach your goal! This hub not only applies to debt management it also applies to any type of positive change or goal you would like to accomplish.

Two years ago I created a DEBT FREE action plan. Write down the answers to these questions on a piece of paper in your own words (do not type this information). If you are really serious about getting out of debt you will hand write this information. The main solution to getting out of debt is to STOP SPENDING.. brain processes information faster when you :

  • a) read it
  • b) write it
  • c) Say it out loud.

The examples are exactly what I wrote word for word 2 years ago.

Step one: WRITE A STATEMENT: WHO? WHAT? WHY?

WHAT DO YOU WANT? Write down your goal in 1-3 simple sentences, (make sure you make it something interesting and fun, make sure it gets you excited and is over the top.) I say to make it over the top because most people usually settle for "almost there". If you write down a statement that is over the top chances are you will reach your goal.

  • Example: I (your name) want to get out of debt and help all of the other people who are in debt get out of debt. I am sick and tired of paying for the same thing 100 times over! Its not fair that I work my ass off for people who sit on their ass and take my money!

WHY DO YOU WANT IT? the difference between successful people and all the rest is that successful people have compelling reasons to do the they do. Again, make it exciting make it fun, and most of all be passionate. Here are my personal reasons, they are not all listed but I am sure you get the idea.

  • so my money can stay in my pocket.
  • so I wont have to worry if i have enough to go shopping
  • so I won't care if my husband or I spend extra money on useless things
  • so the trees wont be wasted when they mail me all my bills
  • so my house wil be cleaner because there wont be paper all over the place
  • so my brain can be occupied with better things like cute little bunnies and daisies... can you sense the sarcasm?

LEARN, READ AND RESEARCH. Find resources that tell you information on how to carry out your plan. I personally liked usuing my social bookmarking sites as a means for oranizing links and bookmars. Remember: Try not to spend anymore money to learn how to save more money. (I used to buy credit repair ebooks and when I totaled how much I spent it was over 100 dollars)

DESRIBE YOUR SPECIFIC PLAN AND SET SHORT TERM AND LONG TERMS GOALS develop and describe a plan for carrying out the activity portion of your project.

  • I will eat out ( I will not go out to eat for 2 weeks)
  • I will not shop (I will not buy anything for 2 weeks)
  • Etc etc.

Make sure you set yourself a specific reward if you reach your goal at the end of the 2 weeks. Make sure it is not detrimental to your plan.

ie: It cannot be "if I do not shop for 2 weeks I will buy myself the $300 pair of shoes I love".

Think of something that is personal to you be creative and have fun.

REMEMBER: This process should not be a chore to you. If you are not willing to do this type of excercise or are not open minded to these ideas... you probably are not ready for it. Keep this information in a safe spot where you can read it everyday. Anytime you feel the urge to spend, eat, smoke etc. Read it.

PS. If you really find this information useful and interesting please become a fan and Isend me a message with your email and I will also send you a credit repair secrets ebook (for free of course!).
