The more time I spend on HubPages, the more I like it. It’s a wonderful community with helpful forums and a great atmosphere. I just published my 100th hub, so in honor of that land mark I am running a competition. And thank you, jimmythejock, for suggesting a hub to promote this.

After much discussion with the HubPages team, it has been decided that I can’t give away something like money because there are too many rules and regulations to deal with, especially with me being all the way over in France.

So - I am going to give away a Flagship Hub about the Hubber that wins the competition. The hub will be of the same standard and length as my other Flagship Hubs. It can include photos, videos, whatever you, the winner would like. It can have links to your works, articles, other blogs – whatever you want, basically.

I like to think I have a mean turn of phrase and after several months tuning my writing chops on HubPages, I am ready to write what will be my best piece ever. It is hard to “blow your own trumpet” sometimes, so let me blow it for you. Try not to make any comment too saucy please, Isabella.

What do I have to do? I hear you cry. Simple. Here are the rules:

  • Join my fanclub. Don’t worry, if you’re already a member, you don’t have to join again.

  • Create a new URL tracker and use it to create links to these Flagship hubs:

Forex Trading Guide

Top Ten American Recipes

But ONLY to these.

  • Use that tracker to create links wherever you wish – email it to people, blog about it in your personal blog, anything you like. For the period from Jan 1st to 31st, whichever tracker has generated the most traffic (and income for you hopefully) will win the prize. Jason assures me that HubPages are able to track these things. The tracker must be created before the end of 2007 and the competition will finish on the 31st January 2008.

That’s it.

Here are the Hubpage instructions for using URL trackers.

I take great pride in my writing and hub layouts and am looking forward to creating a great Flagship hub for someone. Included in the hub will be all the promotional zeal I can bring to bear. I will write up this hub in at least 4 regularly read blogs, submit it to digg and guarantee at least 25 diggs, post it to at least 3 stumbleupon blogs and do my utmost to have Mr. Google take notice.

The hub will be written to your specifications with affiliate links or links to wherever you wish in appropriate places. I'll even throw in one of SunSeven's free HubPages tatoos :) I am sure she won't mind.

This competition is only open to HubPages members, so if you are not yet a member, you can sign up here.

Now that is sheer motivation and something to aspire to.

Tell me how to create the url and I will start connecting fingers, to the keyboard and put the brain into activity and let the thought juices flow.

Selfishly I forgot what I was going to congratulate you on.

Congratulations on your 100

I read a Hub this morning and I thought that is inspiring. I will do heavy thinking

Great idea and thank you

Hi Mr Marmalade,

Go to your "my account" and click on the "URL trackers"

When you go to this page, you will see a button that says, "create a new tracker"

Click on that and make a new tracker. When you have a new tracker, go to one of the 2 hubs I mention and click on the "link to this page" button at the bottom of the page.

That will allow you to create a link somewhere else that HubPages and you can track to see how much traffic you generate. You will also share in the money these ( extremely well-written) hubs make - for ever.

Hope that helps, and keep up the marmalade recipes :)

And I look forward to writing all about you when you win.

Congrats on 100 posts!! And I'm giggling at requesting I not make too saucy a comment! Moi?? I'd love to enter, but I don't understand the whole tracking thing. :-( Maybe I'll have to see if I can figure it out.. I'm just not sure how you do that. Congrats again!

So... Who won?

I'd have taken a shot at that tatoo had I been a Hubber earlier.

Hello from the Glorious Gulf Coast. Congratulations with your right of passage! I am browsing and thinking right now...Do I really want to start from scratch? HMMM. If I set my mind to it... Right now I'm still trying to figure out the optimal length for a Hub Page; and if my writing style will fit, or if I can or should modify my style to fit.

If you have time, please analyze me. Put my name: Suzi Gravenstuk in your browser.

PS: It will be my honor to join your fan club, but I am not accomplished enough to go for the contest.
