What is even more scary is that people who live up north and have basements don't even know they have mold growing intheir basement. By the time they find out, their whole basement can look like the image I have above

Hey Safe Shield, you provided some great techniques that even I didn't think of yet to remove basement mold. Good stuff. Now if we could figure out a way to keep the humidity levels down in the basement then people with basements would not have to worry about mold in the basements. Hey, do you have any suggestions on how to keep mold out of boats? Any recomendations would help, this is a big problem down here in South Florida.
I have to take my husband to the doctor today because we think he has "spore syndrome". He has been sick for months, and we think that it was from the black mold behind wallpaper that he removed from our bathroom. Thanks for the great article on mold and I'll be reading more of your articles.
More than likely it is the black mold that is causing him to be sick. How about you? Are you experiencing the same symptoms? If not and you were living in the same house you may want to get yourself checked out while you are at the doctor because you may have the same symptoms in the future. Have you been coughing a lot or feeling very worn out / tired? Those are the first signs. I would set up an appointment for anyone who has been living in that home just to be safe. Especially if you have children.
Thanks- the doctor does'nt think it's from the mold although he agrees it's something that has to be addressed. We've both been feeling worn out and fatigued for awhile, and remember getting worse after removing the wallpaper from the bathroom. Do you know what sorts of specific tests they do to detect spore syndrome?
