Random Acts of Kindness
A few years ago I watched a movie that was so inspiring it left me in tears. It was a movie about a little boy that decided to be nice to his fellow man. It wasn't much but the act it itself created a Domino effect across the country, causing people to pay it forward.
I remember some examples of how people went out and mocked the movie paying it forward in real life. It was amazing! But it seemed to stop. That saddens me, because right now in our country and all over the world there couldn't be a better time to pay it forward.
As bad as things have become there are still people that have selfless love for their brothers and sisters. We are all one, whether your skin is black, white, yellow or brown. It doesn't matter if we are male, female, gay or straight, we are one people in the eyes of our creator.
What does it take to be kind to a stranger? I think that is doesn't take much. Help an old lady to cross the street. Hold the door for someone that is following you into a store. Offer to help carry some heavy bags for a person that is struggling to load the groceries into their vehicle.
My wife and I have a beautiful three year old little girl. Our life together hasn't been easy, there have been plenty of struggles and I'm sure there will be more. But we are blessed and I know that we can help others even if it's just a small gesture on our part.
Just tonight I stumbled upon a video from a little girl that addressed the UN. This little girl wasn't an adult but her maturity level and courage was stronger than any adult I've ever known. She speaks of the importance of helping our planet survive so that that children her age, will have a world when they become adults. Her message is just in time and I believe we can use the same energy to help our fellow man. This little girl wants us to protect the planet. I say that helping our fellow man will also help in this cause. It saddens me that I haven't done more to help my fellow man. The good news is that tomorrow is another day and I still have a chance to make it right. What will you do tomorrow?

Action plan
Tomorrow I plan on spreading this blog post to all of my friends. I hope that you will do the same and help with the greater cause. It is for our children that this must be done. If you don't have any children, do it for someone else.

Cindy, thank you very much!
I'll pass this on. I try to pay if foward every day of my life. Something as simple as being a good listener vs a talker is in my view paying it forward. Many people go thru life unable to find anyone that will just "listen" and not pass judgement. It's a challenge but I like a challenge.
Karen
You are a good listener and always have been in my book!
Thank you
Today I got an opportunity to pay it forward. As I was getting ready for work our door bell rang. My wife went downstairs because I wasn't dressed yet. It turned out the girl right across the street had left her lights on all night and had a dead battery. She was asking if we had any jumper cables, as she was running late for church. Meghan, my wife volunteered my service, which I gladly would have obliged!
I finished dressing and drove my Jeep across the street and helped the two ladies jump their car. It took about 15 minutes because the battery was really dead. They were thankful and I really felt good!
