Understanding and Recognizing the symptoms of leukemia
Leukemia is a kind of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The disease is characterized by overproducing immature cells of blood (cells of stem) which cannot entirely develop and carry out the activities of the normal cells of blood. Each type of ripe cells of blood has specific features and roles inside the body. The cells of blood or the leucocytes white have an important role in the immune system, contributing to overcome infections. The white cells of blood also help in the wounds and the curative cuts of flesh. The red globules or the erythrocytes contain the hemoglobin, which has a great importance while transporting oxygen with the cells in the organization. The red globules are essential for the process of breathing, to carry oxygen to the cells and to eliminate from cells carbon dioxide of them. The plates have an important role by repairing damage on the level of the blood vessels, accumulating to seal all the cuts or ryegrasses. Leukemia leads to the accumulation and the obstruction of the sick cells of stem on the level of the marrow, which decreases the normal production of the healthy cells of blood. The lack of normal cells of blood leads to the aspect of the symptoms of leukemia. It is important to understand that in spite of the fact that leukemia causes a finished production of the white cells of blood, these cells are not blackberries and cannot replace the normal cells of blood. Because of this, the body is exposed to many forms of infection. The most common symptoms of leukemia are: weaken (an insufficient number of the red globules in blood circulation), risks of the bleeding (an insufficient number of the plates in blood circulation), nosebleed, bleeding of the oral cavity, predisposition to the bruise, exposure raised to the infections due to the lack of white cells of blood, inaccurate curative. Other symptoms of leukemia can be tiredness, lack of concentration, poor execution psychical, fever, loss of appetite and loss of weight. In the case of the chronic leukemia, which facilitates the accumulation of the sick cells of blood in various places at the interior of the body, the symptoms of leukemia can be the migraines, insomnia, the decreased vision and hearing, loss of balance, disappear and of the seizures. Some of these symptoms of leukemia need immediate medical intervention, because they can lead to other complications. Sometimes people with leukemia could have increased the liver and spleen, causing abdominal swelling or the increased nodes of lymph. The glands of body of the organization can also be affected by leukemia. The symptoms of leukemia are nonspecific. This means that they can be fallacious by establishing suitable diagnose, because they can also occur when they are other diseases. The medical professionals are the only people able to distinguish leukemia from other diseases with symptoms of resemblance. Adapted diagnose is very important in order to begin the administration of the specific treatment quickly. The analysis of blood and the careful examinations of body can indicate the presence of leukemia. Leukemia is regarded to have a high rate of mortality and although the disease can be overcome by the treatment and the therapy, of it can cause death if its presence is not noted in time. Consequently, the prompt intervention is required for leukemia, independently of its type.
Chronic leukemia
Leukemia is a disease of blood and marrow which occurs on the bottom of the genetic predispositions to cancer. Leukemia affects the cellular process of maturation, causing the accumulation of the immature cells of blood in the spinal cord and blood circulation. In certain cases leukemia makes multiply the unfinished cells very quickly, whereas in other cases the abnormal cells of blood prolonged periods of the life and persist in various places at the interior of the body. The unfinished cells of blood cannot replace the normal cells of blood, because they cannot carry out their roles. The cells affected by leukemia are thus incompatible with the organization and can damage serious. Judge by the speed of the development and the persistence of the disorder, there two types of leukemia: acute leukemia and chronic leukemia. Judging by the types of cells of stem affected by the disorder, leukemia can be lymphocytic or myelogenous. Acute leukemia is different from chronic leukemia by the levels which the cells of stem can reach in their development (cells of stem which the current anomalies always manage to develop partially and resemble the immature cells or with the complete and normal white cells of blood). Acute leukemia is the shape of cancer which develops very quickly. It is expressed by the overpopulation of blood with the immature cells which cannot achieve the functions of the normal cells of blood. In the case of acute leukemia, the marrow cannot produce normal quantities of red globules, white cells of blood and plates. The patients who also suffer from leukemia develop anemia, an insufficiency of the normal red globules. Moreover, a decreased number of white cells of blood reduced the capacity of the body to overcome infections, whereas the lack of plates facilitates the ignition and the bleeding. Chronic leukemia tends to develop leukemia more slowly than acute. In the case of chronic leukemia, the body can produce the cells of blood which riper than those are produced in acute leukemia. Although these cells can seem unfinished, they cannot achieve their roles inside the organization and tend to group at various levels of the body. They also have a longer period of the life. The chronic leukemia of the lymphocytic form is known to affect a type of lymphocyte called of the cells of blood B. The disease weakens the immune system, interferes in the normal activity of the spinal cord and facilitates the access of the harmful cells to the bodies of body. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia occurs initially on the levels of marrow, but can quickly deviate with the different bodies and fabric by blood circulation. The presence of chronic lymphocytic leukemia is usually indicated by the blood tests and the careful examination of body. Although apparently some can not have any symptom of the disease, other patients can test tiredness, the lack of concentration, poor balance, the loss of memory, the deterioration of the vision and hearing, the vertigos, the weakness of body, the joint and the osseous pains. Just as in other forms of the disease, chronic leukemia requires the immediate specific treatment and the therapy. The chances to entirely overcome the disease are increased considerably if it quickly is discovered.
Causes of leukemia and possible factors of risk
Leukemia is a disease which is regarded as representative a danger to the life. It requires the prompt intervention once discovered, in order to maximize the chances of recovery by the specific treatment and the therapy. Leukemia is basically a type of cancer of marrow and blood, caused by inadequate cellular activity. The disease can be various forms, according to types' of cells of blood which cause its development. Moreover, if leukemia develops quickly, this is called acute leukemia, whereas if the disease develops slowly, it indicated under the name of chronic leukemia. The immediate causes of leukemia are always unknown. In current and medical science cannot establish the specific causes of leukemia. However, a strong connection between certain genetic factors and the development of the disease were indicated. Leukemia occurs on the bottom of the genetic failure which causes the excessive production of the unfinished and partially matured cells of blood. Moreover, leukemia has a hereditary feature, allowing the transmission of the genetic predispositions to the disease of a generation the other. Although many factors are known to contribute to the development of leukemia, they only cannot be considered causes of leukemia. In spite of the fact that the statistics indicate a higher incidence of the disease in the people who are exposed to some environmental factors of risk, leukemia seems to be caused by neither one nor the other of them in particular. Among the environmental factors which are thought to be the causes of leukemia, here some of most plausible:
- Smoking - smoking is thought to increase the chances of the assignment by leukemia. Although the statistics show that that around 20 percent cases of acute leukemia are related to the nicotinic, leukemia also occurs for people which do not smoke and thus it cannot consider a cause of leukemia on itself;
- Exposure prolonged to the radiation - the radiation is regarded as facilitating the development of leukemia. It is believed that the exposure to x-rays can be the cause of leukemia;
- Exposure prolonged to benzene - the statistics indicate that it is an important factor of risk in some forms of leukemia, such as leukemia myelogenous;
- Chemotherapy and treatment of cancer - treatments and chemotherapy precedents of cancer are known to facilitate the occurrence and the development of leukemia and can be considered plausible causes of leukemia. In a few years of the achievement of chemotherapy and other treatments for the certain shapes of cancer, the majority of the people can develop leukemia.
Among the genetic factors which are regarded as causes of leukemia, the following ones are thought to be most important:
- Anomalies of chromosome - some rare genetic syndromes are known to contribute to the causes of leukemia;
- Genetic Problems of immune system - a weak immune system is very to facilitate the occurrence of leukemia and can thus be considered a cause of leukemia;
- To the bottom syndrome - the children supported with this syndrome have very high-risk to develop acute leukemia.
The list of possible causes of leukemia can continue further, but in fact the most common factors are considered to be interlines with leukemia. While some of them can be prevented, others lie in genes and in the present cannot be corrected. In the future, however, thanks to the medical advance, we will be able to probably prevent leukemia and the other shapes of cancer.
Characteristics of various types of leukemia
Leukemia is the shape of cancer which occurs on the level of the spinal cord. Inside the spinal cord there is a type of immature cells of blood which are called the cells of stem. These cells have a neutral initial state and develop later in various types of cells of blood (white cells of blood, red globules and plates). Leukemia interferes in the normal of the maturation of cells, driving process with an accumulation of the cells of blood partially developed in marrow, blood and later in bodies of body. The majority of these resulted cells are ineffective inside the organization, because they cannot carry out the activity of the normal cells of blood. According to at the rate of development, the disease can be acute leukemia (developing very quickly), or chronic leukemia (to develop slowly). The detail with acute leukemia is the incapacity of the cells of stem (immature cells which can be found in marrow) to reach the state of maturity. These immature cells of blood tend to divide without interruption and they accumulate in blood circulation. Acute leukemia develops very quickly and people who suffer from it the immediate processing of the need and the specific therapy. If maltreated or leukemia ignored and acute cause the death of the patients affected in a few months. While certain forms of acute leukemia usually successfully are treated, other forms do not answer the specific treatment well. A characteristic of the chronic type of leukemia is that the sick cells usually come from the riper cells, but in the majority of the cases they are not developed normally. The cells of leukemia have long periods of the life and they tend to accumulate in blood circulation. Although the normal people have between 5000 and 10000 white cells of blood in their body, people who suffer from chronic leukemia can have more than 100000.Lymphocytic and standard myelogenous of leukemia is developed starting from various types of cells: the lymphocytic type of leukemia develops starting from the cells called of the lymphoblasts or the lymphocytes in the fabric spongious of the bones, whereas the myelogenous type of leukemia (sometimes indicated under the name of leukemia myeloid and myelocytic) develops starting from the cells myeloid. Judging by the types of cells implied in the development of leukemia and by the cellular rate of detail of division to each form of the disease, the principal types of leukemia are: acute leukemia myelogenous (AML), chronic leukemia myelogenous (CML), acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CL). Moreover with the common forms of chronic leukemia, there are also some rare types. The hairy leukemia of cells (HCl), just like chronic lymphocytic leukemia, has a slow progression. The cells of the hairy leukemia of cells are different from other sick cells mainly by their aspect. The hairy leukemia of cells does not answer the treatment usually well. The leukemia of Prolymphocytic is a very rare form and little commune of lymphocytic leukemia chronic. Some cancers, called the lymphomas, are caused by the abnormal cells of blood which are present in the nodes of lymph, the liver, spleen or other bodies. These particular types of cancer do not occur on the levels of marrow and have a development which is not characteristic with the majority of the forms of lymphocytic leukemia.
General aspects of leukemia
Many people suffer from leukemia nowadays. A great number of cases of cancer are identified to be leukemia. Leukemia is a kind of leukemia and marrow. The disease is characterized by overproducing immature cells of blood (cells of stem) which cannot entirely develop and carry out the activities of the normal cells of blood. According to their functions and structure, there are three types different of cells in normal blood: red globules, white cells of blood and plates. By the process of the hematopoiesis, these three types of cells of blood are developed starting from a distinctive type of cell of stem called of cells of blood. The cells of stem divide and pass by several stages of the development to finally form a ripe cell of blood of a particular type, with some, distinctive function in the body.
The process through which a stem cell morphs into a mature blood cell takes place within the bone marrow.
According to the speed of the development and the persistence of the disorder, there are two types of leukemia: acute leukemia and chronic leukemia. Acute leukemia is known to develop very quickly, whereas chronic leukemia is developed slowly. According to types' of cells of blood affected by the disease, leukemia can be lymphocytic or myelogenous. Lymphocytic types and myelogenous of leukemia are developed starting from various types of cells: the lymphocytic type of leukemia develops starting from the cells called of the lymphoblast’s or the lymphocytes in the fabric spongious of the bones, whereas the myelogenous type of leukemia (sometimes indicated under the name of leukemia myeloid and myelocytic) develops starting from the cells myeloid. In the case of the acute forms of leukemia, the abnormal cells come from first, immature cells. Such forms of the disorder have a very fast speed of the development, since the normal cells of stem tend to frequently multiply. The cells of leukemia usually do not divide more quickly and more frequent than of the cells of stem normally, they simply do not stop their process of division when they would have. Sometimes the numbers of white cells of blood are very high, whereas in other cases they can be normal or low. Chronic leukemia, independently of its slow development, is different from acute leukemia by the level of the maturation which the sick cells can reach. The cells of stem affected by chronic leukemia reach one of higher level of maturation but they present anomalies and they cannot act as healthy white cells of blood. With the difference of acute leukemia, in the chronic form of the disease the unhealthy cells have periods much longer of the life and they tend to accumulate in various parts of the body. Leukemia assigns people of all the groups of age. While the children answer usually better the treatment for leukemia and treat the disease sometimes well, the adults face with difficulty with this shape of cancer. Independently of the age and the sex, much of people are diagnosed with forms of leukemia. The children tend to better answer some types of leukemia, whereas the adults face with the disease with difficulty. The cases of acute leukemia exceed those of chronic leukemia by roughly 10 percent. Older adults seem to be affected the majority by acute leukemia. Around two-thirds of case of acute leukemia seems to occur after the age of 60.
Various forms of acute leukemia
The normal cells of blood have one limited period of the life and they must constantly be replaced by the fresh and young cells to undertake their activity. There is a type of cell in the marrow (cell of stem) which matures in the type of cells of blood of which the body needs. In normal state, these cells of stem develop in red globules, white cells of blood or plates, of ordered manner. Leukemia disturbs the normal development of the cells of blood and causes the accumulation of the partially developed cells that cannot achieve their role at the interior of the organization. Judge by the speed of the development and the persistence of the disorder, there two types of leukemia: acute leukemia and chronic leukemia. Judging by the types of cells of stem affected by the disorder, leukemia can be lymphocytic or myelogenous. Acute leukemia differs from chronic leukemia by the levels which the cells of stem can reach in their development (cells of stem which the current anomalies always manage to develop partially and resemble the immature cells or with the complete and normal white cells of blood). At the interior of the body of the people who suffer from the acute leukemia of myelogenous, marrow produces the cells of stem which form a kind of white cell of blood partially matured called the myeloblast. This type of cell of blood does not reach a full state of maturity and cannot carry out its role envisaged. The cells of Myelogenous tend to multiply very fast and to exceed the numbers of healthy cells of blood, facilitating the occurrence of anemia, infections and weakening the immune system of the body. The sick cells can also deviate at other places from the organization, such as bodies. Because the statistics indicate, there is a good number of annual cases of the disease, acute leukemia of the form myelogenous being the most common type of leukemia. Although the disease is known to regress quickly when the suitable treatment is managed, if left untreated it can cause the death of the affected person. This form of leukemia tends to the recidivate and it can rebuild with time. Leukemia is the serious shape of cancer and it needs immediate processing. So treated correctly, particularly with its incipient stages, leukemia can successfully be overcome.
Therapies of Cancer right on the target
Cancer was always synonymous with the loss and fear. With new advances of today in the prevention, detection and the treatment, a diagnosis of cancer necessarily any more does not mean to face a final disease. Rather, as new advances provide more options of treatment, cancer takes more and more the form of a chronic state.
Recently, the national institute of Cancer (NCI) announced that that the principal organizations of cancer announce that the risk of the Americans of died of cancer continues to decrease, indicating that progress in the prevention, early tracking, and the newest treatments seem to help in the combat against this disease. The next revolution in the therapy of cancer will probably find its roots in the continuous atlas of genome of Cancer (TCGA), a pilot scheme launched by the national institute of Cancer (NCI) and the national institute of search human for genome (NHGRI). The scientists started to discover it of many genes to play a part in cancer, but they discovered only one small part of these genes. The atlas of genome of Cancer is to help aimed accelerate the arrangement of the genetic make-up of cancer. The researchers hope that a better arrangement in the way in which cancer develops and of the diffusions, will lead to new tests to detect cancer in its early, the majority of the manageable stages; new therapies to aim at cancer; and, finally, new strategies to prevent cancer. The arrangement of the genetic base for cancer already made it possible researchers to develop the first drugs which aim at the defective genes, which make a difference in the lives of the patients. Ask Bob Ferber just. In July of 1999, the agent of Los Angeles was diagnosed with chromosome-positive leukemia myeloid chronic of Philadelphia (Ph+) (CML), a malignant cancer of marrow and blood. Ferber tested many futile attempts at treatment before writing a clinical test so that the now called tablets of Glaive of drug (mesylate of imatinib) help to fight its disease. Gleevec, approved by the FDA in 2001, is one of the first “therapies concerned” and functions beside rotation in addition to specific cause of Ph+ CML, something the Cancer which the atlas of genome hopes to make possible to much more cancers. In the months, the white accounts of cells of blood of Ferber were in the normal margin and its disease was in the handing-over. “My diagnosis of CML was a true alarm. But, I am recognizing now. I am grateful for each new day when I have. “Sadly, not each one history is as positive as Ferber. If all is well, with the continuous advance of the conscience and the search for cancer, the preventive treatment and the atlas of genome of Cancer, the patients of cancer one day will be able to breathe a sigh of relief and to agree with Ferber when he says, “each time I defy this cancer, with emotion or physics-and to survive-qua place a victory for me. The “researchers developed the first drugs of cancer-combat which aim at defective genes. Note with the writers: On the subject of compressed of Gleevec: Tablets of Gleevec (misled of emitting) are indicated for the treatment of the lately diagnosed patients of adult with Philadelphia chromosome−; (Ph+) positive leukemia meld chronic (CML) in the chronic phase. The follow-up is limited. Tablets of Gleevec are also indicated for the treatment of the patients with Ph+ CML in the crisis of breath, the accelerated phase or the chronic phase after failure of therapy of interferon-alpha (IFN-a). Important safety Information1: (NCI evaluates 3/4) neoprene engraves (3%−; 48%), weaken (<1%−; 42%), thrombocytopenia (<1%−; 33%), hemorrhage (1%−; 19%), liquid conservation (<1%−; 8%) (For example, plural overflowing, pulmonary edema, and associate) and surface edema (1%−; 6%), muscular-skeletal pain (1%−; 9%), and hepatotoxicity (3%−; 8%) were brought back among recipients of Gleevec®. Patients should be weighed and supervised regularly for signs and symptoms of edema, which can be serious or representing a danger to the life. There also were reports/ratios, including deaths, of cardiac plugging, the cerebral edema, the increased intracranial pressure, the palladium, and the gastrointestinal perforation. Dermatological reactions Bullous (for example, multiform of arrhythmia and syndrome of Stevens-Johnson) were also reported. In certain cases, the reaction reproduced on the retailing. Several post marketing foreign locks up the note a resolution or an improvement of the reaction bulls after care of support of reduction of amount with or without. The adjustments of amount can be due necessary to the hepatotoxicity, other unfavorable events nonhematologic, or for the hematologic unfavorable events. The therapy with Gleevec was stopped for unfavorable events in 3% to 5% of patients. Patients presenting hepatic weakening engravers should be treated with a starting amount of 300mg/day and should be narrowly supervised. Glove is materialized by enzyme CYP3A4 and is an inhibitor of CYP3A4, CYP2D6, and CYP2C9. The proportion of compressed of Gleevec should increase at least by 50% and the clinical answer should carefully be supervised in the patients receiving from compressed of Gleevec with an effective indicator CYP3A4 such as the revamping or the painting. Examples of drugs used generally which can significantly act one on the other with Gleevec include acetaminophen, of the warring, the erythromycin, and the painting. Please see the complete information of regulation included for other potential interactions of drug. For daily proportion of 800mg and in top, proportion should be accomplished using the tablets 400mg to reduce the exposure to iron. The use of compressed of Gleevec is contradicted in the patients presenting the oversensitiveness at the emitting or any other composing of compressed of Gleevec. Women of the potential of pregnancy should be advised to avoid becoming pregnant while taking tablets of Gleevec. Because of the potential for serious unfavorable reactions in infants of care, women should be advised to avoid nursing with the country while taking tablets of Gleevec. Common side effects of Gleevec Tablets1: The majority of the patients roughly 1700 of adult who received Gleevec in clinical studies tested unfavorable events at a given time, but was softer to moderate in severity. More often the reported unfavorable events where the surface edema (58%−; 81%), nausea (47%−; 74%), diarrhoeia (39%−; 70%), cramps of muscle (28%− ; 62%), vomiting (21%−; 58%), eruption (36%−; 53%), tiredness (30%−; 53%), muscular-skeletal pain (30%−; 49%), and abdominal pain (30%−; 40%). * The core of support can help the management of the majority of the soft-with-moderate unfavorable events so that the prescribed amount can be maintained as much as possible. Tablets of Gleevec should be taken with food and large glass of water to reduce gastrointestinal irritation to the minimum (of GI). Tablets of Gleevec should not be taken with grapefruit juice.

Extensive information given here, will have to come back and go through it again, as I have a particular interest in leukemia. I have read and done some investigation on NZD drops, a clinoptilolite zeolite preparation that has given some help in leukemia patients, though not considered curative yet. (This is NOT the commercial Waiora drops publically advertised, but similar.)
Thank you for your research, and writing in this extensive article, santoion! I have considered writing a hub on the NZD, but perhaps you would like to do that? Best wishes, in all!
