Is Liberalism Racism? - Why Liberals Exploit Minorities to Further Their Agenda
It has long been a misconception that liberals are out there working to further help the minorities. All my life I have listened to people tell me that republicans are for the big corporations and will always back them 100%.
I can seriously see where some think this to be true and it's no fault of your own. It's simply a misunderstanding fueled by liberal rhetoric. People from the republican party have always been strong believers in innovation, free market and of course capitalism.
These values of the republican party have been misconstrued as favoritism.
This does not mean that republicans will always go to bat for big business. This is not what the capitalist system is based on. It's based on the hope that America will always produce the best of the best in any given field.
If in any case that corporation fails their are others right behind them to pick up the slack and become the next big leader in that field. This is the belief of the republican party. This is equality.

Liberal Racism
It has become more and more apparent that the liberal politicians of this country are trying to take over our country. They want total domination of The United States. They not the republican party want to keep the small man down.
The liberal politicians in our country today want to break our country economically and keep minorities under their finger.
They want bigger government and less input from the American people and the last time I checked American people included minorities. They want to break this country and make it harder for a person who is down to rise above and become anything they want to be.
They want to spend this country so far into debt that the general public has no other choice but to rely on the government. They want to keep the minorities on food stamps, government health care options, and in low income housing.
That's exactly where they want you. Then they have their CONTROL!!!
So, this brings me to my point that liberal politicians are racist and any chance they have will drop government overhaul on any and all aspects of your life. They have no intention of furthering the success of minorities. They want them to rely on their handouts. They want to garner all control of minorities.
Exploitation of the Fallen
Democrats in office now with the exception of some blue dog democrats want to exploit anyone who is finding it hard to make it in America today. They want nothing more than failure and I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want this great country to fail. Have we worked so hard to throw it all away? Have we done all this just to fall back and rely souly on our government?
This my friends is racism. It's not just about derogatory language towards someone of a different color or nationality. It is about the complete oppression of those who are your neighbors and friends. Those who may have failed in their extreme efforts to succeed and live the American Dream.
Their fight for this dream is not over. America allows for corrections. America will allow that man or woman to find what it takes to get back on track and live that dream once again.

Wrong Time to Vote Democrat
Democrats today are power hungry and the quickest way to this power is to exploit the minorities to further their agenda. They are preying on the weak and broken with promises they can not deliver on. I urge that if you believe in the American Dream you move from the democratic party.
Do your homework before you step into that booth and close the curtain behind you. Find someone you trust with your life, the lives of those around you and most importantly the lives of your children.
You will not further your life or theirs in the country that we live in at this time by voting for corrupt politicians. It is my honest opinion that you change parties. Then maybe you will find the change that so many sought with this administration.
Liberal Censorship
On a different note I want to discuss something that I have noticed with this administration.
Everywhere you look (Hollywood, Radio, T.V., and Print) you find people who say they are liberal. One basic reason for a person to label their self a liberal is they believe strongly in equal treatment and freedom of speech. These are very valuable rights. There is nothing wrong with equal treatment and freedom of speech but, are your politicians who label their selves liberal really at all concerned with those views?
I mean really are they really?
Especially in today's world you will find liberal politicians trying to demonize anyone who doesn't believe in their views. We have a White House that tries to censor a certain news outlet for no other reason than the fact that they don't agree with the views of the White House. Isn't one basic liberal value the freedom of speech?
Is this equality? Is this upholding the 1st amendment?

jiberish - Thanks for your comment. It's true that black people who did not vote for Obama are labeled traitors. I wish it wasn't that way.
It kind of seems to take something away from that great day in November when our country elected our very first black President.
Even though I hadn't voted for him and I knew already about Ayers, Acorn, Rev. Wright etc. I really truly was proud of my country thinking that finally we had gotten past racism.
Then we get into this administration and get a chance to see the policies they have. If people really pay attention they will see that they are oppressive policies that take the power away from the people and into the hands of the government.
They are trying to make us rely on our government. They want to oppress our nation and seize control.
tony0724 - Thanks for commenting. It is true that Martin Luther King was a republican and believe me he was hated for it. The Black Panther Party had a deep hatred for him because of his views.
If people would have just remembered what MLK wanted, that "people not be judged by the color of their skin, but by their character." If Obama weren't racist, he would not have jumped to conclusions to quickly in the Cambridge-Gattes affair.
This is a very hub and hits upon some points not always discussed and I agree with you.
There are several issues that are often overlooked or simply swept under the carpet when this discussion surfaces. Minorities don't vote democratic because they are poor and expect to get taken care of by doing so. They do it because conservatives of the 80's, 90's, and 00' have shown no desire to include minorities in their politics.
It isn't the poor black that makes a difference at the poll, but the middle income black. It is the educated minority who can see the disparities that exist most notably in conservative States. It is the constant support by even open and inclusive conservatives given the far right nut jobs that we find a turn off.
The conservative party, not minorities have made the democratic party the party of choice.
I want to make it clear that the points I make in this article are targeted at liberal politicians of today and that I am not making a generalization of liberal minded people in the US.
I feel that for the most part liberals believe in America and value the freedoms that we enjoy in this country. These freedoms that we enjoy are slipping away from us.
The democratic party has been overrun by socialist who wish to implement big government and control every aspect of our everyday life. Liberals should examine independent candidates if they want to continue to enjoy their freedoms.
the problem with liberal polician is that they not only, want to exploit the poor, but they are using out tax money to support them. I may not against the poor, it just that I rather see them struggle to make end meet than stay at their home collecting welfare and the worst part is that the working poor have to pay their taxes while the people on welfare don't.
Answer: No, Liberalism isn't racism. Please.
And no, liberals don't "exploit minorities" to further their "agenda". There's no agenda for cryin' out loud and liberals aren't exploiting anyone.
If you honestly can't grasp that then I suppose you should write a hub on how the G.O.P. exploits Christians, cuz there's plenty of proof of that dating back decades. Republicans really did have an agenda which included playing and preying (and praying?) on the beliefs of "the moral majority" in order to increase the Republican voter base.
And it worked.
Christians are now puppets of the Republican party. Whatever hate and anger TV evangelists, Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh feed to Christians is swallowed up and proudly regurgitated as soon as church is out, the TV is turned off and the radio programming switches to sports. It's easy to spot said puppets because (a) a good Christian never goes anywhere, including church, without a loaded handgun nearby, and (b) the "dittoheads" live up to their names by repeating exactly what Limbaugh says -- even if it makes no sense or after he's been caught lying.
I know you won't believe me so all I can do is suggest that you read up on the history of the G.O.P. pertaining to the Bible Belt, the "moral majority" and the "Christian right".
Then we can discuss things.

This must be why 90 percent of African Americans long ago bailed on the party of Abraham Lincoln and now vote Democrat. Same for Hispanic Americans. Same for Jews.
Ralph are you saying it had nothing to do with George Wallace, Trent Lott, Strom Thurman, Newt Gingrich and the rest of the openly racist politicians embraced to this day by the Republican party? You actually believe that minorities would gladly be a part of a party rooted in hatred and racism and they reluctantly left for the spoils offered by the Democratic party? Ninety percent of blacks left because ninety percent of blacks don't support people who have "NO" interest in them.

To all who disagree, show me one government program that was designed to help the less fortunate that actually worked. Idealism is great, but after you try a 'great idea', you are then obligated to evaluate it to see if it worked. Name a single tax and spend bleeding heart policy that actually accomplished what it set out to do. We're all for helping people. We just disagree on HOW to help people. Giving someone something for nothing, no matter if it's your kid, or a fellow citizen, NEVER builds character. Creating self-sufficiency is the ultimate help. Let's create non-partisan ways to do that.
And SOBF, don't forget my favorite political racist, Robert Byrd. He blows your examples of racism away. Racism is not a partisan issue. I'm so sick of you, and people like you implying that people are haters and racists just because they're affiliated with the republican party. We have a black president. That's a testament to all that has been accomplished in this country regarding racism. You are in power! (And by 'you' I mean libs, not blacks.) All I was saying was that blacks haven't been fooled by the Republicans, and they remember who supported the civil rights act, voter rights act etc. I agree with everything in your comment.

Welfare
Medicare
Medicaid
College Grants
Food Stamps
Corn Subsidies
I could continue this list or spend my time going through each program pointing out its merits, but instead I will provide you the cliff notes version. The cost of illness, disease, crime, and economic despair avoided by these programs allow people like us the comfort to sit at home typing away on our keyboards complaining about such programs. The only government expense that has no direct economic return for the American people is war.
Our socialist/capitalist society works because both ideologies are able to live side by side. No one able to overcome the other. When capitalism fails, socialism is there to pick up the pieces and when socialism becomes to much of a burden the ingenuity of capitalism eases the burden. This is what makes this country great and different from any other. If you think this country could survive on a capitalist agenda you are sorely mistaken. Capitalism would shift most wealth from the working class to the rich and we would be looking at internal acts of terrorism that would make the Taliban look like Disney World.

I watched Glenn Beck program Friday, and his audience was professional blacks who had the same concerns about Obama. Some said that because they did not vote for him they have been called 'Uncle Toms' and when they disagree with his policies they are considered traitors. Most of them agreed that in this day and age, the President should not be labeled black or white, he should just be the President that people disagree with. Good Hub!
