Life, Love and all that stuff
54Life and Love
Yes lets discuss, relationships.. The relationship with parents, with your school mates, with your teachers...too much? Yes I think so.
I have learnt in my life that a relationship with anyone is very hard to sustain. As human beings we are subject to so many emotions, hormones and vulnerabilities, they seem to take over, rendering the most level headed person into an emotional heap!
We all, I think yearn for the same thing true love and happiness, but get caught up in this thing called life that knocks us off the path.
As an innocent child brought into the world, we surrender to the money oriented ways of society. 'Got to have the same dress as your friend, or you won't be cool'. Being bullied for not looking a certain way. Slowly being conditioned into this buy buy culture.
How can we build and secure relationships when "Money makes the world go round"... Not love and truth, kindness and honesty.
What is love? Millions upon millions ask.
Respect..Honesty..Loyalty.. A burst of sunshine with flowers and stars inside your stomach..mmm how sweet.
How can we love now, in this society, with so much materialism, greed, sexual depravity pulling us beings apart? Love yourself...only when you love yourself.. blah..blah. yes we've heard it all before, but maybe theres something in that. Maybe if we loved ourselves a little bit more we would know how to love someone else...really love someone else. Not for what they can do for you or what they look like.. but for that burst of sunshine and colour that makes you want to climb in their skin and be one with them.
Has anyone seen the film Equilibrium? I think the concept was really good, with a message in there. To force people to take a drug to stop them from feeling any emotion, therefore creating a peacable society, because no one feels anything. No conflict - why would you fight, you feel no anger, no spite, no greed.. wouldn't that be great! although the obvious downside was you also feel no passion, no love, no happiness. So if any inventors out there can invent such a thing we could be on our way to world peace!!
What about the seven deadly sins, now there's got to be something in that, I read that Pride is supposed to be the worst as it is the seed from which the others come forth. It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive love of self (wikipedia) which of course you can see could spark of a chain reaction of the seven sins, Greed- need I say anymore.. Envy..Wrath..Gluttony, ok so thats only four, but those things are the enemy of love and kindness etc. And they all run rife in our lives.. on the tv in the newspapers, magazines, in schools, in your workplace even on those cartoons your children watch. is it a wonder we find it hard to sustain a relationship, love and all that stuff in this day and age?
I'm not sure what elements you wanted to discuss or how you wanted to discuss it, but I've had a good old rant anywayz...

You make interesting points however you fail to express anything about yourself. Do you love your self? Has your heart ever been broken? Have you ever loved anyone? If so, what happened?
