Credit Cards Not Required

Credit cards are just a simple method of making a payment without using cash. The only problem with credit cards, are the monthly charges, interest rates for using those credit cards, and paying that monthly bill.

Too many people get a credit card, and think: I have credit now. But it is not that simple. With credit cards comes an enormous amount of responsibility, and knowing how to handle those credit cards without getting in over your head in debt.

Use credit cards wisely. If you choose to use credit cards, always pay attention to the fine print in the contract that you sign up front. Some credit cards will have an annual fee attached to them that can be overwhelming, if you are not prepared to pay that fee.

Look at the finance charges. How much will it cost you to use that credit card? Is it a low finance charge or a high finance charge? How long do you have to pay that bill? And, the most important question, is can you afford to have that credit card?

Many people have found that due to theft, it is easier to use cash at convenience stores, and when they go out to eat. The numbers on the card are easily copied, along with all your information. Dishonest employees, have been caught using this information to make fraudulent charges against credit cards long after the owner has left the premises. So sometimes, it is actually better, not, to use a credit card.

Don't let that credit card give you a cloudy day.
