Pet Owners Beware! of Trilogy Instinctive Choice and Lifes Abundance. 2/2009 I don't know what is being covered up and not told to us. But there is a Distint Bad Rancid Pungent Rotten Fish Urine Like Smell in all cans of Instinctive Choice Canned Cat food. I brought this to the attention of owner Dr. Jane Bick. I spoke directly to her about all the 3 oz. canned cat food all having a distint Pungent Weird Rotten Fish Urine like smell. The 3 oz cans have after period of 2 to 3 day of use. that been opened and stored with a tightly sealed lid and refridgerated. I was feeding my cat 3/4 c. of the Lifes Abundance dry cat food mixed together with 2 teaspoons of the Instintive choice canned cat food for every feeding 2 x a day to my cat. I prefer to give my cat more dry food than so much of the moist food for feedings. This way the 3 oz can would last me over a period of 2 to 3 days. by the 2nd day the Smell from the canned cat food has such a Pungent Rancid Weird Rotton Fish Urine like smell my cat starts covering it up would not go near or eat it. Even though it was a new batch from the 2nd day old can refrigerated tightly sealed can put out in the morning in a clean bowl by noon it will just stink in the bowl and the wholeroom starts to smell like it. Note. my cat does not ever have bad potty habits urine mark or spray. only uses the litter box. You Never smell in my house that I have a cat! Dr. Jane Bick only dismissed my complaint saying said she never heard of it. more or less just blew me off. She didnt even offer to give my money back on all the cans. I suggested to her maybe she should't put the shrimp in it because that turns bad so fast anyways. you can see the hard crunchy shrimp tails in it too. and the smell wasnt just from one can run. It is from every can I had opened used and kept for a day or two. and after 3 shipments. Maybe it's the tophorcols or the (meal) You all know what those are made of!!! Since I didnt get any satisfaction dealing with the so proclaimed Dr. Jane Bicks owner... Unfortunatly I have stopped using Trilogy Products Lifes Abundants and Instictive Choice. I now have switched to using Petropics Tiki Premium Canned Cat food. I found a cat food with All Natural Whole Seafood with No Bi Products. I am so excited and pleased with my new find. I must share my good furtune with all of you pet owners. My cat just loves it. All the 12 flavors it comes in, Yums it right up every meal!!! No bad smells!! After keeping and using over 2 to 3 day period refridgated with a tight lid on it . I always discard by the 3rd day. just to be safe. Petropics Tiki Premium canned cat food offers a variety of interesting gourmet 12 flavors in all. Petropics does not make a dry food that I know of. I also have switched to using a different dry food as well.

Yes, I am still skeptical since the 2 year recall on all the pet foods. I'm certain not every brand was tested. Smaller private label brands slipped through the cracks. I can't believe that all these packaging companies have reformulated their recipies. As greed and money goes, I think we all regretibly know that the pet food is being just repackaged and under new names now. Am I the only one who feels this way? Share your thoughts on this subject.
