Lisa Kelly is a singer of both Classical and Celtic music best known as one of the soloists in popular Irish singing group Celtic Woman.
Lisa Kelly Biography
Lisa Kelly (Laoise Ní Cheallaigh) was born in Dublin, Ireland, on May 7th, 1977, into a musical family, with both her parents and sisters being singers. Lisa is a multi-award winning artist who is classically trained in both singing and piano. She has been singing since the early age of seven, when she starred in the musical version of Bugsy Malone.
A talented actress as well as a singer, Lisa continued her studies in drama. During her musical career, she has played several principal roles, such as "Velma Kelly" in Chicago, "Florence" in Chess, "Laurie" in Oklahoma, "Maria" in West Side Story, and "Sandy" in Grease.
She has also performed in numerous concerts at Dublin's National Concert Hall including: "The Magic of Gershwin," "The Music of Cole Porter," and "From Romberg to Rodgers" to name but a few.
Lisa won many awards for singing and drama in Ireland, among them the Feis Ceoil R&R Cup, The Tomas Moore "Singer of the Year" and "Best Female Performer" in the Northern Ireland Musical Awards.
In 2000 Lisa joined the cast of "Riverdance" and toured with them for four years. In 2003 she recorded her debut solo album entitled Lisa.
In 2004 Lisa Kelly was asked to be part of the popular Irish singing group Celtic Woman. The group has since released three albums and embarked on several world tours.

I have enjoyed watching various videos of all the Celtic Women, and I love the talenst of all the ladies. I do have to say that Lisa's voice is beautifully haunting to the soul. I hope that when I get to heaven I can hear angels sing as she does. There is one other bit that I have noticed and that is Lisa (along with Chloe) are the two that enjoy performing their music to the audiance the most. Not that the others do not enjoy, but that these two women seem to sing from the heart. Lisa's also a gorgeous woman to watch. No worries though young lady, you and I are both happily married.

Lisa Kelly, is absolutely gorgeous! there are no words that decribe her perfectly. She has a voice of an angel, and beauty to match. She sings from her heart which i love that b/c she sings to each and every person. She is the only woman with a voice of an angel that can put me to sleep in 10 mins. flat. which thats a great thing. Lisa has the must beautiful voice that I have never heard, there are no words to describe her beautiful tone. I really enjoyed watching various videos of all the Celtic Women, and with all respect to Lisa, I really fell in love and now my heart belongs to her. Some one mentioned that when he gets to the heaven, he hopes the angels sounds like Lisa voice’s, but I’m sure that he doesn’t need to go to the heaven, Lisa is an angel and we have to be grateful for know her. Lisa Kelly, WOW! I agree with all of the previous comments made. She is truly a fine talent. Personally I never heard her perform until accidentally tuning in PBS. They were playing the original Celtic Woman Show. I was stunned by the music, the songs, their voices, and of course their good looks. For me, Lisa's versions of May-It Be, The Soft Goodbye, Send Me a Song are unforgettable. Her voice is so strong and so clear. She moves with such grace. When enterview she seems down to earth, a good person. I hope fame and money won't tarnish her. I'am looking foreward to meeting her and the other Celtic Girls in May.08. Love You ALL

Lisa now has three children. Her baby girl, Ellie, was born on 5th March this year. Mother and daughter are doing fine.
Lisa was working on a solo DVD when a little thing called "Celtic Woman" came knocking. Between her busy touring schedule and her recent pregnancy, she never had time to finish it. At present, there are no plans to release it.

Since I heart Lisa the first time, she was my favourite singer. She can sing so high but her vioce keeps clear. Everything what she sings touches my heart. I first heard Celtic Woman from the other room, I was stunned, shocked and thought Angels were in the other room! I was drawn in to watch!! Then there was Lisa What an ANGEL she sounds so perfect when she sings, Her voice (and looks) melt my heart! all I can say is WOW! She is the definition of perfection! Being from Nova Scoyia ,Canada and envolved in Celtic music all my life(almost) I must say Lisa is abreath of fresh air.She has inspired my grand-daughters in traditional celtic music and song,that they are now going through all my fathers music some that he wrote himself before he immigrated from Innisfre. I also found myself glued to the TV when Lisa was singing. I would've thought Celtic Woman put her on the stage just for her beauty, if it wasn't for that beautiful voice and impressive stage presence. All the Celtic Woman singers are phenomenal singers, but Lisa is so cute too, that the combination is unmatched by anybody else.

I had never heard of celtic musuc B-$ til I caught it on pbs recently and now I am a fan. but I have to say, that LISA KELLY is my favoritr !!!! she is sooo beautiful, and WOW--- can she sing !!! her voice is so awsome, and I can't stop listening to " MAT IT BE " watching her sing it and hearing her voice is amazing !!!! My favorite CD and DVD is the Celtic Woman "A New Jorney". They are all great but Lisa stands out. I am happy to see she is part of the 2009 tour and look forward to seeing her sing when she is in Atlanta in March.

I was browsing u-tube for a xmas carol in early december and came across celtic woman for the first time. Instant fan. Went straight to the cd store next day and bought 2 DVDs. And Lisa Kelly is my fave. And of course the legendary David Downes. They are so uplifting. They raise me up!

Amazing voice, she does things that are not supposed to be done, on the song Someday, written in 4/4 time they hold the last note for twelve counts, while maintaining four part harmony and when her vibrato starts to run, well musically that is the utopia, only the ones with excellent voice control can do that, and she does and with such ease, thanks you do warm my heart,

It was wonderful and I decided to see you again so I got tickets in the second row at Red Rocks. Being right down in front made the experience unbeliveable and the trip was well worth the drive. am currently watching video from sloan castle, the umpteeth time,,, and recall lisa's perfomance at tampa in the fall she was singing the blessing... and was quite pregant it was as if she was singing to her unborn child.... it was so hauntingly beautiful

Lisa Kelly is the best singer in the world, she has an amazing voice, such the most beautiful I ever heard. She can sing a lot of songs, Irish, modern songs and classicals. I love her song The Voice, but of course she did an excellent job with the others. Sorry for my English, I'm Spanish and I can't write very well.
