List Building Tips - Advanced

What I will share in this hub is something more advanced than the usual list building strategy you're probably implementing. You might be building your list already. That's great! However there is a technique on how to immediately monetize the sign-up. You don't have to wait for several follow up emails to make money out of the visitor who signed up to your list. Using the technique that I'll share you can automatically start making money from the subscriber. 

Here's how it works:

You must already have a landing page in place. I would assume that your landing page already has an opt-in form where the subscriber can sign-up. 

I would also assume that you already have a digital product that you use as an ethical bribe to have people sign-up to your list. 

And lastly, I would also require you to already have a landing page in place. Otherwise this thing just won't work. As I mentioned above, this is an advanced technique. That's why I won't discuss the basics of list building here. Instead I will go into the main strategy immediately. 

Here's what you need to do:

1. Look for an affiliate product that allows you to join for free and have the option to upgrade to a premium membership for better benefits. Common among these programs are resale rights sites where upgrading to a paying member account will let you get all of the sites contents and download it one time. 

2. Apply as an affiliate to the program and get your links and also some sales materials. A banner and a few selling points would be great. 

3. This is the heart of the entire advanced technique. What you will then do is to edit your thank you page or download page. Once your subscribers reach your download page, instead of just seeing your download links they will also see something else. A "johnson" box or boxes of several affiliate programs under the download links. 

However, when placing the johnson boxes make sure that you  are not presenting them with the sign-up fee of the affiliate program. Instead present them with the free membership option and highlight the few selling points you got from the main affiliate site. 

What will most probably happen is that the visitor who sign-up to your list will also sign-up to the affiliate links in your download page. They will see that affiliate links as another unannounced bonus, and the good thing about this is that your affiliate code is already cookied into that visitor. So next time that the visitor upgrades to a premium account on the affiliate site you'll get credited with the commission. 

This is hitting two birds with one stone. On one hand, you got the subscriber, on the other, you'll making money from them through the affiliate programs.
