Isn't it just unbelievable how those of us who object to Obama's Marxist-Socialist agenda are continually called racists? It seems as if they have no other way to argue legitimate points. Just attack the messenger...Inspired by listening a few times to JFK The Fatal Speech, i decided to do a little research on Marx, since JFK had opened his speech by referring to Marx's role as a journalistic contributor to Horace Greeley's The New York Daily Tribune. Since Marx would offer his journalistic opinions on current events, and since he was living at the time of the US Civil War, he also commented extensively on the battles and Generals of both the Union and the Confederacy. He saw the Confederacy as the "power that was" to be overthrown and thus welcomed abolition of slavery as a means of strengthening the Union's military forces with newly freed slaves. So, it was from a strategic position that he encouraged it.

Now, on a personal level, however, he stated. according to biographer Francis Wheen, that when his daughter married a Creole activist, he was unhappy and "He confided in Engels that his son-in-law suffered "...a blemish commonly found in the Negro tribe - no sense of shame ... in making a fool of oneself."

Initially, when Marx started submitting his pieces to the Tribune, they were written by Friedrich Engels, who had a better command of English. Little did Greeley know, that when he used Marx's posts as his own (without Marx's byline), that they were really Engels. On the one hand, Engels was wealthy, and Marx was constantly trying to eke out a living in his Soho flat. Things took a turn for the worse for the Tribune said they couldn't afford to pay Marx anymore. This is what Marx & Engels thought of them: "Diese Yankees sind dock verdammt lausige Kerle [Those Yankees are damned lousy bums]."

JFK had begun his remarks in The Fatal Speech (President's Remarks to the National Press corps) suggesting that the whole of 20th century history might have changed, if Horace Greeley had been a little more compassionate to the starving Marx who had a wife and 7 children living in squalor. Horace Greeley had been, supposedly the face of 'the working man."

Marx was, some say, antisemitic as well. In his book "On the Jewish Question", he writes: "What is the secular basis of Judaism? Practical need, selfishness. What is the secular cult of the Jew? Haggling. What is his secular god? Money. Well then, an emancipation from haggling and money, from practical, real Judaism would be the self emancipation of our age... ...The social emancipation of the Jew is the emancipation of society from Judaism." Some say that led to Nazism, but others say it was just "commonplace thinking", or it could be that Marx was embarrassed by his Jewish background (his father converted from Judaism), Interestingly, it has just been discovered that the Holocaust denier, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, also converted from Judaism.
