Little things that make you smile
70"Today was good, today was fun, tomorrow is another one." Dr. Seuss
Dr. Seuss had it right in so many ways. He saw the world with through the eyes of a child, with wonder and joy for everyday things. We all need to remember the wonder of the world and take time to see life's little joys. As the world spins out of control, these little things are wondrous and free.
"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Albert Einstein
Life is full of miracles. Spring is coming into full bloom where I live and every day I see the miracle of new life. New green shoots appearing out of the dull brown soil. Cherry blossoms, pink and white, adorning the trees. Color returning after the dead of winter. I know scientifically why this is happening, but it is still a miracle. What is dead lives again, what was gone has returned.
"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." Oscar Wilde
To live is to love, to appreciate, to have joy! We need to live our lives, not just perform the day to day functions. Appreciate all the beauty of nature and each other. Love and be loved. Spread joy and receive joy. Live!
"If you don't think every day is a great day, try going without one." Jim Evans
Life cannot be complete with out the small, seemingly meaningless, things that occur in our days. Take the time to rejoice in the small victories of life and nature. Smell the roses, watch the sunsets, kiss your children. Never take these seemingly small things for granted. Today will never occur again, do not miss out on it.
Misty Rain
caressing my face
a delicate dewiness
of gentle drizzle
Rainbow
leaves drip vanished rain
colorful chimera glows
noble illusion
Friendship
bitter, bleak, benumbed
morph to peaceful refreshment
in a friend's presence
Children
rollicking wonder,
gleeful mirth, exuberance,
exhilaration
Kittens
a kitten and string
whirling round and round
tangled messy thing
Laughter
playful mirth drives
white pearls bursting through red walls
ruptured with laughter
Sunset
ablaze with carmine
claret intoxicated
florid twilight falls

Awww, thanks for answering my request! I really needed to hear this. I'm always stuck inside working 10 hours with no sunligh or nature to think about?! Sorry, haven't been on hub page in so long! I'm just using my moms laptop for now. Gotta get mine fix. :(
Feline Prophet, It's the little things that make me smile :D
May, I heard your computer was down and thought I would surprise you when you got back! I understand the problem, mine wasn't working for the end of Feb and beginning of March. I was using my son's, and it was not fun fighting for time! I hope you get it fixed soon!
I took the sunset picture tonight, it was a beautiful day, close to 90 degrees! When you need a little outdoors, a friend or a laugh while you are stuck at work (or home), log in and take a look! This one is for you! :)
Awww, that was so sweet of you! Bless you!
Sorry, can't do a hub on all of my favorite hubbers since I'm on a limited time on this laptop :(
May, You have given me some wonderful laughs and reads, and I wanted to give something back. Just get your computer fixed, so you can be back with us again! Then you can do your hub! :)
I did do a quick hub. One that describes how much I miss hubbing so much!
I'll have to go over and read it! I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been here myself as much as I would like!
loved the video of the little girl soaking wet. . .(oh, the other one wouldn't play -- I find if I copy the URL instead of embedding the code it often works better). Yep. I feel "gooder" --thanks!
K@ri! Congrats on being 100 :) I loved the three lined poems, especially the one on sunset. Keep up the good work :)
Very, very sweet, k@ri!
The philosophy of the Einstein quote is part of the reason for my screen name. I try to see everything that happens in my life as a miracle. So I see them everyday. I don't mean commonplace: I mean everywhere.
Thank you for posting this! I love your poetry!
Brillaint Hub, I liked the choice of the pics and poems were brilliant. Keep them coming
Very Good Hub! You are so right when you said that life would be meaningless without the small things in life! To live is to love and loving is appreciating the very small things in life!!
Always Appreciating Your Hubs!

Benji, Thanks for letting me know about the 100. :) I've been working on another Diabetes hub pretty much all weekend. It's published now, whew (wipes sweat from brow).

I love what you write and how you write it, so when you tell me "good hub" it means very much! Thank you! I truly believe the Oscar Wilde quote...I do not want to just exist. I want to love, appreciate and have joy...I try daily! Life is in the trying, anyone can live. :D
