They ship the live Maine lobster packages directly from their warehouse in Biddeford, Maine, and their lobsters are always succulent and fresh. They do ship frozen packages to the Midwest and West Coast from their Chicago warehouse.
How are the lobsters packaged?
The live lobsters are packed in a Styrofoam cooler with frozen gel packs to keep them cold, thirsty pads to keep them moist, bubble wrap to prevent too much shifting, and the whole thing goes in a corrugated box.
Where do the lobsters come from?
All of the live lobsters are called "Maine" lobsters, yet any lobster that carries the "Maine" label is not necessarily caught off the coast of Maine. "Maine" lobsters may be caught anywhere as far north as Nova Scotia and as far south as North Carolina. They also carry 10 different varieties of frozen lobster tails from all around the world!
