Live an Organized Life with either Palm Z22 or Palm TX PDA

Organization is important for getting through the day. With all that has to be done and details that need tracking every day, there is a need for an easier and more efficient way to handle the load. At one time or another we have all struggled with those bulky day planners but there is a better way. Palm Z22 and Palm TX provides a huge amount of data storage in very small packages.

Palm Z22

Palm Z22 is a tiny little package of organizational bliss. At just over 3 oz. and the size of a deck of cards, it is a date book, an address book, a photo album and can hold all of those lists that typically get left behind. All data is accessed simply by pushing the buttons on the front.

I was one of the early adopters of the Palm Pilot. I remember feeling so cool when I pulled that sleek little computer like device out of my bag. It was unbelievable how small it was and how much data it could hold. Well, the Palm Z22 was designed by the same folks that designed the original Palm. It has upgraded features such as the bright color screen, but it has remained simple for those that do not want to learn the operation of a complicated tech toy.

By using the on-screen keyboard data is easily entered. If you just want to take notes or jot down a phone number you can do that too with the Graffiti feature. Keep track of people in the contact list. Keep track of your appointments and notes in the Calendar. Keep track of tasks and be reminded of them in the tasks area. Once all that data has been entered it can be protected by synching with your computer - either PC or MAC. Typically synching is performed through Palm software but it is possible to sync Outlook with the additional software.

The Palm Z22 has 32 MB of flash memory and a 200 MHz ARM-based processor. The built in battery can be recharged by an included AC adapter or by a USB cable that charges while attached to your computer.

The Palm Z22 can be purchased regular retail for just over $100 but can be found on Amazon for under $90.00.

Palm TX

For anyone wanting to step up from the Palm Z22 there is the Palm TX. It sports 128 MB flash memory and has expansion slots for more memory. SD cards as large as 2 GB provides extra storage for files, photos or even short home videos.

Professionals as well as busy moms will appreciate the WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity that lets you check your email on the go. Work on Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and then catch up on your reading with those PDF files.

In case you need a little entertainment along with your work, you can listen to MP3 tunes or maybe watch a little TV using the additional software for MobiTV.

Working or playing is more enjoyable with the large color screen that can be either portrait or landscape. Like the Z22 you can touch type onto the onscreen keyboard or you can use Graffiti.

The Palm TX also has the Contacts, Calendar and Task features. It can be synced with both PC and MAC computers. Outlook can be synced with the appropriate software.

Typically the Palm TX can be purchased at retail prices of about $299.00 and at Amazon it can be purchased for less than 270.00.

For anyone thinking that they may not need a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) I will differ from them. Too much stress is caused when we over schedule. Why try to retain details in our head when we can retain it in a Palm.
