Living With A Beagle
64Beagle Traits
Beagles are very vocal, they bark, bay, howl and try to talk. If they see a squirrel, bird, rabbit or any other type of wild life they will bark at it, chase it and often they will get lost. It is very important to micro chip your beagle as well as having a collar with the name and address on it. Also, remember to keep rabies shots updated because beagels like to hunt and wild animals carry rabies. Beagles are clever, although they are medium size do not underestimate them. They will jump the 6 foot privacey fence and once they get out they will follow their nose. Some get lost and some get home.
Beagles are very loving and loyal. They make wonderful companions. They get along well with other pets and children. They adjust easily to most environments, but for your neighbors sake I do not reccomend apartment living because when they are lonely and anxious they will bark and bay, sometimes continously.
Beagles usually have litters of 4-6 pups but they can have more. Depending on the size of the beagle.
Beagles personalities are usually independent, demanding(if they want something they are persistent). But, the love and loyalty they give often out weighs the inconvenience of the barking and demanding spirit.
