Should Americans live with high gas prices due to weather conditions or is this a plot for oil companies to get rich? That's a very touchy and yet good question. As I have seen, gas prices continue to rise and it becomes a question of why is it happening? This is probably going to get some people mad and perhaps rightfully so. Gas prices rising are basically hurting the nation more and more. I compare this to pouring salt on a wound. The economy is bad right now and just when you didn't think it would get worse, you got these companies rising prices.

Personally, I believe this is all a plot to give these oil companies more money. Yet, the government hasn't done much but turn the corner or investigate something that doesn't warrant tax money being spent. The name of the game is to make money and that is the common trend. The theme is that cars need oil and gas, as they are really the major cars that you see out there on the road. During this time, they are or have all ready been developing different types of cars that are trying to eliminate the need for gas on a consistent basis.

The oil companies think if they can keep raising the price, they will rake in more money. It's all about the dollar bill in this case and how much of a profit can they give themselves. Where I live, gas is nearly $4.00 at this moment though knowing how the oil companies work, it will rise and that means greed.

Should people live with it? No but there is no choice. Unless we start seeing other sources being used into a more mainstream level where every person in the nation can buy these type of cars, this will continue to happen and you can bet the oil companies will love every single minute of it. To be honest, there shouldn't be a need to constantly raise the price. This is now forcing people to try to find jobs close to where they live or if possible from home directly doing telecommunication work. It isn't easy given the job market can be difficult depending upon the state you live in of course.

Sorry if I seem like venting on this because it's an issue that hits the wallet and can really get under your skin. This is just my own opinion on the whole oil company matter. I still believe it's all about giving themselves a larger profit. As the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Such a sad reality and that is what it is. They do have a right to be angry with this but until something happens, it's going to be more of the same.
